Summary: Speakers worked as expected for about a week, then one speaker started to smell like it was overheating. The speaker was very hot -- too hot to even pick up ! Although it still played music, the speaker was dangerous to use because it t could become hot enough to catch on fire. I tried to unscrew the speaker case to see if it could be fixed, but whoever had " refurbished" it had glued the screws into the case !
Summary: Got these for my workshop, where I can take my iPad and hookup Pandora. These speakers have excellent bass and are clear. They were better than some Bose compact computer speakers that I tried first.
Summary: Am I the only one that gets irritated when people rate products lower because they don't do more than they are supposed to? If you want something that produces amazing sound quality and bass, by BOSE or even Boston's that are meant to be true at home computer speakers. I bought these recognizing that they are just an upgrade to laptop speakers. There is enough bass to make me happy and the sound quality is great for what they are meant to do.
Summary: I bought these about 6 months ago for about 45 dollars and my review is based on that price, I think they are a little expensive now and don't think they have enough watts to warrant spending that much on them. That being said they have a nice clear distortion free sound even when turned up all the way. My only complaint is that they tip over easy, I have scratched them up pretty good by knocking them off my shelf at home.
Summary: These speakers were an excellent value at the purchase price. Very nice and heave. The sound quality is very good for near field listening. I use them instead of the lousy speakers on my smallish LCD TV in the bedroom. They're a little larger than I thought they would be, so they're not very discreet, but they work well.
Summary: I purchased two of these and they both are a disappointment. They are easy to use and attach but that's about their best attribute. The sound quality is good but these are low volume speakers. For the money there are a lot of better options available. Do Not let the bulky power supply fool you. I own speakers nearly the same size with a much smaller power supply that are twice as loud as these. If you are looking for any Bass/Thump these speakers are not for you.
Summary: Just got my set of MM220's today. I know these are no longer produced, but if you can find them, BUY them! I'm looking for another set now for my office at work. The sound is crystal clear, clean, sharp, and accurate. Plenty of power for a PC or MAC (I Prefer MAC), and the appearance is outstanding - much nicer to look at than Bose or Klipsch. This is the best value in multimedia speakers I've found and highly recommend them.
