Summary: First note: these do not come in a pair. I see that asked a lot. I still think they are truly worth every dollar. I have an old circa 2003 Sony receiver running these with a bluetooth adapter attached. The sound that comes off these are very loud and not thin at all. I will say there is some lacking on the low end, but again, i can't dock a star for that: they are bookshelf speakers. If you give a little room on the backside of the speaker you get better depth.
Summary: We use these in our exercise room connected to a Parasound amp and tuner, DVD and Samsung LED TV. All I can say is they sound good and there is no disappointment on this purchase. The price was right too!
Summary: Overall, I enjoy these speakers. The bass can go quite deep considering the relatively small size of these speakers. It seems, however, that most of the low bass is coming out of the rear duct, which means that it's very important to keep enough distance (about 12 inches) between the back of these speakers and the wall.
Summary: Is this the perfect bookshelf speaker? Small size, great bass, midrange and treble response, efficient ( I use a 20wpc receiver), but great sound played loudly or quietly. Accurate and musical. Remarkable transient response. Solid, rigid cabinet with handsome stained black finish. Sounds like speakers made by the famous New England companies (Polk, Advent, EPI) in their heyday.
Summary: Replaced two older 3-way speakers as front speakers in a 5.1 surround sound system (Yamaha receiver/amplifier) with the CS26 speakers and a large subwoofer. Wow, the sound is excellent. The CS26 speakers provide strong highs and mid frequency sounds. They produce good volume, with high quality sound and minimal distortions. Rarely use them at anywhere near their maximum power output.
Bought for MUSIC only - especially classic rock - price volotile

Summary: I wanted another set of bookshelf speakers for a bedroom system to listen to MUSIC only. These were under $120 for 2 speakers! I've seen them as high as $150 EACH. The price is volatile on these, so watch it closely! Too many speakers nowadays are marketed for home theater. Most speakers will sound great on home theaters, but then suck when you listen to music with the tv off.
Summary: For small bookshelf speakers, these are great. Full sound, no distortion even when loud. Super value. A great part of a surround sound system, or as stand alone speakers for a room. You won't be disappointed.
Summary: Have these hooked up to my Yamaha receiver. Very pleased with the bass response despite their small size. Right now they are my main speakers but eventually I will use them as rears when I get floor standers. I am in an apartment & don't want to blow out my neighbors so for now these are perfect for my needs. I have them ear level on bookcases with the rubber knobbies so i transmit as little bass into the walls as possible even when I'm playing music at higher volume.
