Summary: I put two of these on my tower and power both of them with one Rockford 150 watt amp. Last summer I put a 12" Sony explode in my boat and it bumped fairly well for cheap bass. The only problem was the bass was the only thing I could hear outside of the boat. To fix that I bought these Boss speakers and they are a good match for my sub. Sounds great and i'm very happy I didn't spend $600 or more on more expensive tower speakers .
Summary: Purchased 2 of these and installed on our ATV. I was hesitant about the Boss brand but I read the other reviews and thought I'd give them a try. These were a lot cheaper than most of the other waketower speakers I found. They sound awesome! I was amazed. I have a Sony marine Bluetooth radio connected to them. They do a great job.
Summary: I wanted a tower speaker with a good output. I bought these and ran them from a 4x80 head deck. I was so disappointed... They crackled and they distorted so badly. Then I added an amp and 300w to them. My god, I could not be happier. The sound coming from these is crisp at lows and pumps out some good bass up loud. I would not be adding more power to them than that, as its well known that BOSS' exaggerate the power output of their products.
Summary: These are durable outdoors speakers that I use with my RV. I made a mounting system with PVC that the speakers hang from and I don't have to worry about damaging the speakers if it starts to sprinkle. I do pull them out of the elements if it rains heavier for obvious reasons. They also have good sound quality.
Summary: I ordered this product and they will work (I am not happy with the product). However, try to return speakers to Amazon and they classify them as a "Hazard" due to magnetic device. What????? It was okay for them to ship them to me, but I cant ship them back if I am not satisfied? Wow! Then they send me to a process to sell them myself on Amazon.... WHAT? I can say that (((YOU AMAZON)))) just got a small amount of $$ and lost a customer due to this.
Summary: Bought these expecting to be poor, since theyre made by BOSS. really only bought it for the outer housing, would scrap the speaker and put in a kicker 6x9. metal clamp...that attaches to plastic.. played for about 5 minutes on low volume. pushed 100 watts RMS to it, muffling. it cannot handle the advertised 550W at all. its not my amp, or sound system. BOSS speakers just cant handle the power they say they can. the clamp also doesnt fit a 1.75" tubing. needs 2" minimum.
