Sounds great and it is a great match for an iMac

Raf, B&H Photo
13 December 2014
  • Excerpt: Great speakers. Looks great beside the iMac but most importantly, sounds awesome. Just the right amount of bass I need on top of my desk. The volume and mute knob (that also has an input and headphone jackets) is very handy! Wish it could be connected to the computer using the USB for even better sound quality (plus it could got to to sleep when the computer sleeps). It's pricey, but worth it.
  • Pros: Design, Sound Quality
  • Cons: Price

Bose Companion 20 Speakers

Eddie141, ABT Electronics
26 August 2014
  • Excerpt: I bought these speakers for my desktop to compliment my new iMac which they do very well. This is a well thought out product that is very easy to set up. Although expensive, this is a quality set of speakers if you are not too heavy into bass. If you are I would recommend something with a separate subwoofer.
  • Pros: Durable, Easy To Configure, Lightweight, Quiet, Versatile
  • Cons: Could Use More Baas, Pricey

Great experience

Ken, Crutchfield
1 January 2014
  • Summary: This was my first purchase of some truly decent computer speakers. I've been quite happy with my decision. These produce what seems to be a good range of sound--lots of detail at all frequencies, although they seem to be a bit bass heavy. Recordings with deep bass don't play very well. A fair amount of distortion with these. Utilizing a Mac requires the installation of an EQ to knock down the bass a bit to achieve good results.
  • Pros: Nice size, good looks, remote adjustment
  • Cons: Price, bass heavy and distorted

Great speakers but some came with a production defect

Martin, Amazon
23 November 2012
  • Summary: These sound great, for music as well as for games. There is a problem that more than one person has reported, including me, the cable connection on the back of the right speaker seems to be very sensitive, like if it is broken, it came this way from factory. So if you move the right speaker the sound stops or gets messed, and you have to touch it gently until it gets back to normal. Not a good thing for such a fine brand and price.

BOSE DOES IT AGAIN

Zen Riffer, B&H Photo
28 June 2012
  • Excerpt: I"m amazed. I needed something compact to do demos of my Zen Riffer Custom Keyboard. I hook these up to my laptop and and I'm up. Surprised at how good the bass is without a sub and all the wires. Took me some time to learn the remote. I kept turning it off by barely touching it. But I learned! You will be happy with these in lost situations.
  • Pros: Easy To Transport, Great Sound, Stylish

Great Sound for 2.0 Spearkers

Todd "Todd", Amazon
24 February 2012
  • Summary: Just setup Bose Companion 20 Speakers on an HP All In One with RealTek sound card. Sounds Great. We have the HP All In One pc in a kitchen area with minimal space. Wireless KeyBoard/mouse and just AllInOne Monitor. Did not have room for subwoofer. These are perfect for our need. Much Much better sound than regular computer speakers. Of course they are much more expensive. But I am impressed on how much better the sound is.

Great Speakers

Jim885, Hewlett-Packard
23 January 2012
  • Summary: These speakers are really loud if you want them to be. Sound is full, clear, crisp, and robust. Cord between speakers is about 4~5 feet, so that is more than enough distance. I have mine positioned behind my monitor and enjoy a great sound. Easy to set up. I just had to disable the HDMI feature on Windows 7 that was allowing the sound to go to the monitor speakers despite these being plugged in.

fair deal

downsizing, Hewlett-Packard
6 January 2012
  • Summary: great sound as expected, limited distance between speakers as they are meant to be desktop, along sides of computer. If you hope to widen the spearer array, you'll need to purchase a longer 3.5mm cable. as always, this name expects shopper to pay for the lablel as well as the product...

Just so you know what you're buying....

Paukenwirbel, Amazon
17 October 2011
  • Summary: I like these speakers for basic computer functioning speakers. It's true, they do have a very strong, powerful, presence, though I don't understand why Bose keeps throwing the word "natural" in everywhere. They're some of the most un-natural sounding speakers I've ever heard, though that is not necessarily a bad thing, and I think it's Bose's point....
