Summary: Best feature? Automatic sound adjustment calibrates the distance between speakers - BUT overall sooo yesterday. Adequate sound for the size of speakers BUT center speaker inadequate to handle today's technology and the sub woofer is way too large. No HDMI connections - old style bare wire connections and ALL must be connected to the subwoofer which limits the possibilities for its location given - the speaker wire is unique to Bose (connectors in to the sub) - for no...

Summary: So I'm writing this review because I ended up buying these speakers even though I read so many bad things about Bose. They definitely looked the best to me out of all the available 5.1 systems, and I've always heard that Bose sound great- until I started to read reviews online. Well, let me tell you, there is no way that people giving these bad reviews have ever owned one of these systems.
Summary: I have been eying this set of speakers for the past year. Every time I go into my local Costco I listen to them and they sound fantastic and wish that they were less expensive. Finally, one day I noticed that the price dropped by $150 to $700 (this is a bundle price including a Yamaha HTR-3065 receiver). I bought it for $799 including taxes.
Summary: This is what I've been looking for. I wanted a home theater with good base and crystal clear sound and this is the home theater that will do that. If you want loud bass then turn the bass up on the module. I really recommend this home theater.
Summary: A bit pricey, but that's Bose. The system is easy to set up, with wiring clearly labeled. All wiring and connections are included and connectors are prepared and ready for installation. There is a lot of wire. Bose gives you very long lengths of cable, which for most typical installations is way too much. This is a small system, not designed for a large room. Stowing the extra lengths of wire can be a problem.
Summary: To the regular guy who is on the fence whether to buy this: I say, BUY. Why? I just bought mine. A used one at that. A seven years old unit with a seven years old receiver. There were a few tweaks that you have to go though like I did. My used receiver did not came with manual, With a little internet search, I found my receiver's manual. Following the recommended settings of my receiver (levels, distance, etc), I was able to make the room shake and picture frames rattle.
