Bose ACOUSTIMASS 3

The Bose ACOUSTIMASS 3 compact speaker system is one of the smallest yet from the US-based audio equipment manufacturer. The ACOUSTIMASS 3 has two cube-shaped satellite speakers measuring in at only 3.1 x 3.2 x 3.1 (W x D x H) inches. The system’s passive subwoofer, or the “Acoustimass module”, measures 7.2 x 12.6 x 14 inches (W x D x H). The subwoofer uses a 5.25 inch ported bass driver that, with a patented design, accurately generates low frequencies without distortion.

The ACOUSTIMASS 3, which is available in a black color, can easily blend in any room. The Acoustimass module can be hidden behind the couch or in the corner of the room. The small satellite speakers can be placed on a shelf, mounted on a wall or ceiling, or on a variety of stands. Bose sells universal floor stands (UFS-20), table stands (UTS-20) and wall or ceiling mounts (UB-20) which can all be used with the ACOUSTIMASS 3.

The ACOUSTIMASS 3 set can be used by itself as a 2.1 speaker system for a small room or act as the left and right rear channel speakers in a surround sound set up. Also optional is Bose’s center channel speaker, the VCS-10, and the VCS-30 surround sound set for a full 5.1 home theater system.

The package comes with 4 speaker cables, each measuring an adequate 20 feet in length. Bose has made setting up the system easy as the Acoustimass module and the two cube speakers utilize clip-type terminals.
