Summary: I've brought many floor standing speakers looking for the perfect sound and power. I finally got what I've been looking for in a floor speaker from the Bose 901's. It amazes me how it produces the lows you would expect from a sub-woofer utilizing 4.5 inch drivers. The sound quality is superb and these speakers are very powerful, thundering base, enough to shake your walls. And as for the highs, they are very clear and perfectly emphansized.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy Setup, Easy to Mount, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
Summary: 901s are not for everyone. The older Series V's will often need the surrounds replaced. There are many kits out there and it is fun to do with great results. You need the right space and amount of power. Follow placement instructions. I have a fully restored Poineer SX1980 @ 280 WPC powering two pairs of 901 V's properly placed and anyone who hears this set up for the first time is shocked including 901 doubters. Lots of power is needed for low volume clear response.
Summary: I purchased these Bose 901 speakers knowing that they would deliver quality sound from my home stereo. The price was right, at under $800.00, originally more than $1,300.oo. Worth every penny of their original price!!!! If these are hooked up to the correct components, and properly placed, they will not disappoint!!
Summary: Pure joy and long lasting. I've had my originals for 25 to 30 years. About two years ago humidity spoiled the interior and I had the lining of the cones replaced by a technician that charged only [$], instead of exchanging them. They still sound great.
Pros: Attractive Design, Crisp Sound, Easy To Connect, Great Sound Quality, Powerful
