Not worth the money. Poor sounding boat speakers in my audio opinion.

Summary: Bought a pair of these in 2004 for my boat. I also bought a cheap pair (79.00) of the JBL speakers for my son's boat at the same time. We both had near exact model clarion units with the same rated power output. These speakers were overpriced and sound boring. The JBL's sound great.
Summary: I picked these up to add to the two Bose speakers I already had on my boat, making 4 total. I added a clarion amp and not my boat ROCKS OUT! I am very very happy with how these perform and everyone that has heard them is super impressed.
Summary: I am sure they would be great, but I didn't measure well enough. The additional base prevented me from installing them in my boat, as intended. Unfortunately, I didn't try to install them until the return period had expired.
Summary: No one needs this quality (?) on a boat & its noisy environment. Requires a large large installation hole. Product is far too expensive for the application. You can find a very adequate pair for less money.
Summary: Could be two stars, but for the price they are definitely a 1. I Have $79 Kenwood 4" in the front of the boat and put these bose in the rear. The bose had no oomph to them at all. The cheaper kenwood speakers are three times the speaker. Keep in mind I am bose fan.
Pros: clear acoustics and look good installed
Cons: funky factory speaker box seems to hinder power significantly.
