Summary: I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered these for our new home, but when they arrived they looked great and after they were installed and watch Star Trek Into the Darkness... WOW! These are awesome speakers!
Summary: I bought a different brand speakers for my patio. I liked them but when it came to 5.1 surround that brand doesn't make a center channel speaker. I found these Bic speakers for 1/3 the cost of my patio speakers and they sound ridiculous. I was very skeptical when I purchased these. Especially for $59/ pair. I also bought the VK6CLR which also sounds awesome but I didn't realize how big it was going to be. I am going to send the LCR back and buy a smaller one.
Summary: I own a lot of BIC Venturi products and these are disappointing. There is no bass (I also have 3 pairs of Polk in-ceiling speakers and 1 really cheap Pyle Pro and they all have a ton of bass). The highs are very clear. Maybe they need to be broken in, but the initial response is really lacking in bass.
Summary: Purchased these along with 3 Bic VK6LCR's for my surrounds. I am pleasantly surprised on how well these sound. They match perfect with rest of my set up. After breaking in these, the sound has become very rich and full. I was nervous to cut holes in my ceiling, but it was not as hard as I feared.
Summary: I am a musician and love the sound quality of these speakers. I am putting together a 7.1 and so far I am very satisfied with these speakers. They also look good and I keep the covers off just to see them in action. I have these for the two rear in ceiling and BIC 10 inch kevlar for the front left & right. They crank.
Summary: Installed 4 of these a few weeks ago, for surround and rear surround on a 7.1 system. (They are sold in pairs, but on-line descriptions don't always make this clear.) We chose them in part because of their construction (kevlar with swiveling titanium tweeter), in part because of the huge discount from MSRP, and in part because many BIC America products are widely lauded in on-line AV forums.
