Summary: I recently purchased a set of these Bic America speakers for my master bathroom. I have a Denon AVR-3311ci receiver with a 7.1 speaker system in the main zone. I am using an external stereo amplifier ( AudioSource AMP-100 Stereo Power Amplifier ) to drive two sets of speakers for zone 2, with (A) one set of bookshelf speakers in the dining room and (B) these MSR-PRO6 speakers installed in the ceiling of the master bathroom.
Summary: These speakers sound great in the drop ceiling of my media room. I used one set as the rear ch of my media rm home theater and the second set as a separate ch in a hobby rm ceiling. They were easy to install, the directions were accurate, specs were what I need, excellent sound, great price and delivered when promised. I am very happy with this purchase.
Summary: Sound great, impressive bass for in-ceiling speakers. Look good - only complaint is that the fabric cover can dent easily if you press anywhere other than the very corners when inserting it into the speaker.
Summary: Got a pair of these on time and in perfect condition. Had a 5.1 home theater set up but got a new 7.2 amp, so I wanted to upgrade. I had JL Audio in my builtins and these BIC's fit in perfectly with them. I have no complaints. They sound good and I can hear the surround they reproduce without any effort. I would recommend them highly.
Summary: Arrived on expected date and in good shape. The speaker construction is solid and was relatively simple to install with provided template. I installed into a patio ceiling using a dremel tool to cut the hole (easy). Once hooked up to my receiver, they pumped out just fine. Overall good value for the price and great for patio speakers.
Summary: I wanted to get rid of my ancient Infinity surround speakers hanging out of the middle of my living room ceiling. The whole thinking about surround has also changed over the past decade and rear speakers are no longer looked at as low-powered speakers used to just round out the sound but rather as important components in faithfully reproducing the dedicated signals sent via today's 5.1/7.1 systems.
Summary: While searching for in ceiling speaker I came upon a review that recommended these BIC America speakers. Honestly, I never heard of them. I own Paradigm. Friends of mine own Bose, Boston acoustics and so on. Needed these for spare room. I must say after listening, and for the price I am upset that I spent so much on the Paradigms. Grant it the Paradigm are great speakers but on the pricier side.
