TV speakers. Great Mid to High
21 June 2014
Summary: Seemed to be well made. Great replacement speakers for any tv. All you really need is a small sub (which you don't really need if you aren't serious about sound). I was cautious about the brand name and price, not any more. I'd buy BIC again.
Summary: Small, inexpensive speakers with big speaker sound. Surprisingly strong bass, although a subwoofer might be a good idea. I'm using these in the basement with an older receiver that doesn't have a subwoofer out, but I'm really not missing it. Tough to beat for the price.
Summary: I have a BIC FH6-LCR center channel speaker I wanted front left and right to match it. I will break these in before I make any negative or positive comments. But as it stands right out of the box I think I'll be very pleased. So I have BIC FRONT LEFT RIGHT AND CENTER I have an older set of infinity for front left and right wide and left and right surrounds driven from my TX-NR 818 ran audessy 32 System sounds very nice.
INCREDIBLE Speakers for a Hundred Bucks. Blow BOSE 201s away.
22 April 2014
Summary: My story: I bought a pair of Bose 201 Series IV speakers from a friend for the living room stereo. Hooked them up but found them less than satisfying. Then I stumbled upon these BIC DV62si's at Amazon. I ordered them and sold the 201s on CraigsList for only slightly less than what the BICs cost from Amazon. The DV62si's have a bright sound with AMAZING detail; the 201s sounded muddy by comparison. Perhaps the 201s had a warmer sound with a stronger lower midrange.
Summary: Long time audiophile here, constantly buying and trying new speakers and other sound equipment. First the negative, I'm not crazy about the veneer on the speaker. It's not really black as listed, more of a charcoal gray and has a heavy woodgrain type of pattern. And the seems of the veneer are not particularly smooth. They don't look bad at all, just that they could be better. The grills look nice, and more importantly the drivers look really nice without the grills on.
Summary: IMO clear, smooth, detailed, open sounding, nice balance. Good looking. Don't know why you'd want to modify them. Prefer these over the popular Pioneer BS22's and smaller Micca 42x's that I tried. Perfect for my budget system. Wish I found them long ago. My search has ended.
Summary: May not be considered an audiophile ( far from it ) but at least for what I listen to these speakers are awesome. I was using the speaker cubes from an older Bose Lifestyle 25 system. I had already purchased a Yamaha Sub and an Onkyo Integra rcvr. My stereo sounded okay but the rcvr supports a 7.1 system so after going back and forth looking at Klipsch Polk and Bic I finally decided on the Bic. There is no comparison between Bose and these. Watching Star wars is great.
Summary: I've got all BIC speakers for my 5.1 system powered by a denon AVR400 receiver. DV62si for fronts, DV62CLS for center, PL200 for sub and DV52si for rears. This set up rocks for both movies and music. I upgraded from an old energy system and could not be happier. All of my BiC speakers are of great quality and dollar for dollar sound as good or better than my other more expensive speakers. Great value.
Bought as a gift - make sure you get the pkg from the delivery guy if you're buying this as a gift! Pkg shows what's inside

Summary: Shipping was on time - however the packaging was poor. I marked this was a "gift" - and it shipped in the box SHOWING what was inside. Christmas was spoiled - thanks. Anyways - the item works as intended. My brother LOVES his speakers. Nothing was wrong - he is very OCD about checking things and he couldn't find anything wrong. They are a little large, bigger than he expected, but he really likes his speakers - makes me happy.

Summary: For the holidays, I set myself up with a new turntable, speakers, and amp. I am a novice when it comes to sound equipment, so I relied on a friend who is a soundphile to help me put together a great combination. I should have looked a little closer at the dimensions of these speakers, as they were larger than I thought they were going to be. This is a good thing actually, but I assumed for the price, they would have been smaller.
