Great sounding center channel
6 October 2013
Summary: This is a great addition to my home theater. Make sure you check out the dimensions and weight. This is a good-sized speaker and very solid. It sounds great and really adds to my surround system. Very glad I bought this one.
Summary: This DV-62CLRS compliments my BIC DV64 towers, Dayton 1200 sub, Cerwin Vega VE-5M rears and Denon AVR 15 power amp. If you have this setup with a nice big Panasonic flat screen, you will never pay money at a movie theater again for big sound. Yes, the BIC center channel is very nice and 5 stars!
Summary: I recommend the DV-62CLRS to anyone looking for a speaker with above average sound at a reasonable price. I have owned several two and three way speakers from Cerwin Vega, Yamaha, Sony, Advent, BIC, DCM, Wharfedale, Boston Acoustics and Infinity. Given it's price the DV-62CLRS has a well made cabinet and quality drivers. The crossover features a 6db/octave inductor for the woofers. The tweeter crossover is12db/octave with a nice poly cap.
Summary: Just purchased for 7.1 surround and listening to music in a medium sized living room. I'll admit that most of what I've owned in the past has been middle-of-the-road equipment, mainly HTIB systems. After 1 month of ownership I suppose they're broken in now...and all I can is WOW! I feel like that old 1980s ad, with the guy sitting in the chair, wearing shades with his hair blowing back!
Summary: This is an incredible center speaker, especially for the price. Nice full sound. I also have a Polk Audio CS10 in another room and I think this one sounds better (more natural, clearer) and was the same price. No cons that I can think of....well, I like the way the CS10 angles up a little bit instead of just flat because I placed it below my tv, so I guess I would like that in this center.
Summary: Good sounding center, but wasn't wow'd like many others, here. So, I was able to do side-by-side, A/B comparison with two other speakers. It's replacing an old Cerwin Vega center (RL-25C). An apt comparison, as its configuration is very similar: two mid/woofers, center soft dome tweeter, rear ported, same price point. It delivered muddy voice reproduction for movies; wife always complained that she couldn't hear the dialog. It's why I'm looking to upgrade.
Summary: Needed a smaller center channel for my Harman Kardon AVR 1700 and smaller living room setup. this was a bit bigger than I thought it would be so glad I bought it. the sound is perfect with our directv, H/K and LG tv setup. full sound matches well w/ Polk Audio 505 subwoofer. plus you can't beat the price.
