  • Summary: Love reading some of the reviews trashing these speakers. They must be listening with mis-matched components or in a poor room, or both. And they definitely can't spell. I've had my N802s for a couple of months now and originally had them connected to a mid-fi Denon receiver just to test, and was shocked at how good the combination sounded- in the RIGHT room. They've since been paired with a McIntosh amp and pre, MC352 and MX132 respectively.

  • Summary: I red a lot of pros and cons regarding these speakers. To my opinion they are one of the best sounding speakers I've heard BUT they are demanding indeed. Demanding in terms of amplification, demanding in terms of source, demanding in terms of cables and demanding in terms of placement. Once you have achieved solving the above equation you'll be ready for hours of pure listening pleasure. Amplification is key. the 802 require big amps ie lots of current and power reserve.

  • Summary: I've posted on this site before concerning these speakers in the forum. My brother owns a pair and I may inherit them soon as he has substantial resources and gets bored easily. He got bored very quickly and angry considering the price. I really like these speakers and B & W in particular. But Im sorry, these are really weak efforts considering the price. They do sound very resstrained run with a B & K 307 (I think).

  • Summary: UP DATE REVIEW. DR. JACK OF THE SOUND FACTOR ENCINO SENT DWIGHT ONE OF HIS ASSOCIATES TO MY HOME AFTER STORE HOURS. HE REPLACED ONE MIDRANGE AND FULLY CHECKED EACH SPEAKER. I STILL THINK THE OTHER MID RANGE HAS LOWER OUTPUT. HOEVER NOW I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE SPEAKERS NOW THAT THEY WORK. MAYBE I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE 801 S FOR I LISTEN MOSTLY TO ROCK AND DVD CONCERTS.

  • Summary: I've had these speakers for about 1 month. I listened to them at a dealer where the display pair have been used extensively for about 2 years. The sound difference between the demo units and the new speakers is remarkable. First, if you are going to demo these speakers, ask the dealer how long they have been used. If the answer is under 6 months, then ask that the speakers be turned on and played "hard," while you go out and have lunch, a coffee, movie ...

  • Summary: An excellent speaker, which can handle almost every kind of music - with perhaps the exception of large choirs ?- Excellent subjective impression / size ratio. It it were avaiolable, I would rate 4,5 stars both in valu and overall ratings.

  • Summary: This is a speaker that some people will never get to appreciate due to it's unconventional appearance. It's not to say that these are unordinary , far from it as they still resemble a conventional box design. But then again my wife thinks they were the failure of someones science project. Well here we go.................... If you ever get the chance pull one of the woofers out and start looking inside this conventional / unconventional box.

  • Summary: after a relatively long break-in, the soundstage opened up wonderfully. they really have to be properly matched to all the other parts of the system-- cables serve as your "tone control" more so than on other speakers, and i believe most people who don't like them are probably using the wrong amp and cable combination. they were every bit as good as the wilson puppies in the showroom; kharma was vastly different but not necessarily better or worse.
