Summary: Love everything about these. They look great and sound even better than what I've used before. I used to be a big metal head but getting these, just because they're so good at reproducing sounds, I've picked up jazz and classical and it's just...orgasms in my ear. I highly recommend getting speaker stands like the IsoAcoustics ISO-L8R130. They bring your speakers up to ear level and the sound just OPENS UP. The only downside isn't a downside at all.
Really great speaker, particularly for this price!

Summary: There are lots of pro reviews out there for these speakers, and I have to agree with the majority of them. These speakers are a huge bargan at $325. Crisp highs without being harsh Warm midrange Good bass for this size bookshelf speaker That said, if you really like to kick some bass filled music you'll want to add a subwofer.
Summary: I'm sure I have just average ears, if not worse than average. But for me, these speakers are the bomb. I'm using them with a new turntable to play 20 year old records and I'm hearing audio that I didn't hear "back in the day." I'm convinced that the Audioengine's play no small part. The build is solid, they look great, and sound awesome.
Summary: I just bought and married these up to the new Sony HighRes decoder/player and all I can say is WOW! these maybe the best bang for the buck speaker on the planet.....plus they look terrific. You cannot go wrong buying a set of these little gems.
Summary: I bought these speakers to replace some very cheap home-theater-in-a-box speakers that I had held on to for far too long. The difference in sound quality is jaw-dropping. My wife and I are actually re-watching movies because the experience is so much better now. Crisp crystalline highs and solid mid/low range. They look like works of art, come expertly packaged, and make for amazing speakers for not just your computer, but your home theater as well.
Summary: The speakers are beautiful, the sound is phenomenal. I am using them as my front L/R channels with a Yamaha receiver that puts out 125watts per channel. I have a JBL LC2 center speaker which has a noticeable tonal difference, but the sound blends well enough for watching movies. For listening to music I run them in stereo with a Polk Audio PSW10 sub and just smile away. I couldn't be happier with Audioengine or Amazon.
Summary: These speakers are incredible- crisp and clear, you will hear things you never heard before. I use mine in a home office, powered by a Qinpu A-6000 MKII. Caution- You will most likely want a smaller subwoofer to match these speakers- you get almost no bass out of them. I use the Yamaha NS-SW210BL Advanced YST II Subwoofer- which is a perfect compliment. It is probably a bit too big, but paired up, this system sounds amazing.
Summary: Great sound in a small package. I have them setup with the related Audioengine amp and DAC. While not an audiophile per se, I'm discerning about my music and appreciate the sound quality of these speakers. I have them on my fireplace mantle, and the whole setup to drive them is hidden behind a mantle clock. Very unobtrusive and the bamboo finish looks nice in the living room. No problem filling the space with these powerful speakers.
