Incredible

Nick B., B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: These speakers are amazing! The bamboo finish makes them look so incredible, I'm really glad I spent the extra dollars to get this finish. The sound on the A5+'s is out of this world.
  • Pros: Attractive Design, Easy to Mount, Easy To Set Up, Great Sound Quality
  • Cons: Large, Weak Bass

Good Office Spkrs

Duditude, Crutchfield
24 December 2013
  • Summary: Put these in the home office, nice set, no need for an amp, plenty of power for an office.
  • Pros: Small, plenty of power, w/o separate amp, look nice on office bookshelf.
  • Cons: Expensive, esp when paired w/D1 DAC. Probably a less expensive comparable solution out there but I didn't look too hard.

A5+

3 October 2013
  • Summary: Very well made and easy to use. Good tone and solid bass. The reason I didn't give five stars is the mids mainly vocals are the only weak point of these speakers.
  • Pros: Superb fit & finish, surprising good tone. Remote
  • Cons: Don't like the rolling volume knob as you don't know what level the gain is. Only sound flaw I hear is in the vocals if there's a loud bass part playing at the same time it seems the bass compromises the clarity of the vocal onlt on certain songs though like Steve Stills " Johnny's Garden" .

Stylish and practical

KenD, Crutchfield
24 June 2013
  • Summary: I would give this 4.5 stars if that was an option. These speakers put out nice audio at moderate to louder volumes, they are fair at lower sound levels such as for background unless you are going to put them in a bigger room. I'm using them in my bedroom for my Lynx radio.
  • Pros: Very good sound with good bass at medium to loud volumes for this size of speaker. Stylish high quality cabinet and workmanship. With a subwoofer, I'd likely give this product a 5.
  • Cons: No grill to hide the exposed elements. Poor sound at lower levels due to no sub-woofer (which can be added as an optional wireless accessory). A bit large for a desktop (computer speaker).

Outstanding sound and money well spent!

AriD, Crutchfield
2 April 2013
  • Summary: Out of the box, these speakers impress with their weight and quality of construction. Extremely easy to set up and I was listening to music in 10 minutes. I spaced them about 5 feet apart and toed in to the listening position. These speakers offer so many ways to listen to your music.
  • Pros: Great connectivity options, clear defined and musical sounding, great build and quality is noticeable. Great sound stage!!. All music styles tend to sparkle with these speakers
  • Cons: I did not like the volume control, I would have preferred one with limits, not one that keeps turning. No headphone jack on the front of these speakers
