Aperion Audio Intimus 4B-BP Fusion SA Speaker System Review

2 September 2009
  • Conclusion: With its furniture-grade piano finish and sleek design the Aperion Intimus 4B-BP Fusion SA system looks like a million bucks, but this system almost sounds like it too. While the satellites and center speaker don't quite match up visually, together the 5.1 system packs quite an audio punch.
  • Pros: Solid craftsmanship and excellent materials, Reasonable sized satellite speakers, Subwoofer delivers serious low end
  • Cons: 4B, 4C and 4BP seems a little mismatched in size, if not in sound, No additional system discount over ala carte pricing

Aperion Audio Intimus 4B Harmony SD

8 October 2008
  • Summary: The Aperion Audio Intimus 4B Harmony SD speaker system completely redefines (or should) what a satellite system can be. To say that the bar has been raised would be to say that Lance Armstrong is raising the bar for amateur cyclists. The Intimus 4B satellites are built like mini bookshelf speakers.
  • Pros: Best satellite speaker build quality we've ever seen, Solid, powerful bass, Beautiful finishes in either High Gloss Black or Medium Cherry, Sub includes single band parametric EQ
  • Cons: Midrange detail a bit lacking, Subwoofer has limited placement options, Subwoofer controls a bit tedious, Satellites can consume lots of amp power
