Remote sound

shade tree plumber, Amazon
4 October 2012
  • Summary: I have had the speakers over a year at this point. If I knew how poorly they would actually perform I would not have purchased them. I have not been able to make the pair play in left and right band mode while out of the same room. I purchased these for my patio deck which is about 30 feet from the base unit, but of course is out side. The unit has frequent loss of signal and causes a lot of static. I have tried all channels to no real solution.

acoustic speaker

Brenda, Amazon
27 December 2011
  • Summary: I purchased this Acoustic Outdoor wireless speaker in 2009 and fell in love with it. It sounds great. We can take it out side or any place and enjoy great music. This is a great item to have without spending a lot of money or outdoor systems. If it broke, my husband would be ordering a new one tomorrow.

Great value, not bad sound

AppalachianWino, Amazon
24 March 2011
  • Summary: For a weather resistant, inexpensive, wireless speaker, this does what I expected. The attractive pricing coupled with its wireless capability screamed "buy me". So I did. It's worked outside on our partly covered patio for 9 mos out of the year. Sound quality is okay at best, but for the price and for a wireless solution that's weather resistant, you can't beat it.

Consider high quality rechargable batteries

wordsmith, Amazon
21 January 2011
  • Summary: This speaker used as as a satelite for Pandora radio is what I expected. It has decent range and the sound depth quality is pretty good, but it will pick up static as it passes thru walls and beyond 75'. I am pleased with battery life using Tenergy rechargables. I haven't figured out why I can't use it w/ an Ipod.

Great wireless outdoor speaker

"Law" doctor "california doc", Amazon
1 September 2009
  • Summary: I have a large pool area that required additional outdoor speakers. The sound quality was better than expected! I bought 4 wireless AR AW822 speakers. Three of the 4 work perfectly. One speaker still has a "hiss" despite trying my best to find a better location. I like the individual volume control on each speaker. I think they were a great buy for the money and would definitely recommend them for anyone who wants more speakers without having to run the wiring.

Great!

William Smith, Amazon
28 August 2009
  • Summary: This speaker is amazing! I heard about this particular model when I was reading articles about outdoor wireless speakers. I came to Amazon and when I realized how affordable it was I bought it instantly. Setting up this speaker was really easy. I ran it on battery power during one of my pool parties for about 6-8 hours and was very impressed with the sound quality, and extremely impressed with the battery life. On 8 C batteries the speaker went all day!

Sounds ok. Works ok but not great.

Donald G. Leonard Jr., Amazon
24 August 2009
  • Summary: The sounds quality is ok but not great. It's not too loud but fine for us as we don't want to bother the neighbors anyway. One thing not so great is the transmitter won't activate until the signal strength coming in is high enough. Using it from my stereo's line-out, I have to turn the volume up to get it to start transmitting.
