Summary: I am only driving 3 pair of speakers - one straight out of receiver and two pair through this speaker selector. The first thing I noticed was a complete loss of any low end tone at all, then I noticed that even at full highest setting the speakers that run through this selector are a good 50% quieter than the ones going right out of the receiver. With very dull sound and not much volume out of the speakers I can't recommended this unit.
Cons: Lack Of Power, No low end at all, Poor Sound Quality, Volume is cut in 50
Summary: I was able to wire four pairs of speakers and independently control the volume and which speakers are in use so I can enjoy my music at the pool while my kids don't have to listen to my classic rock. The volume controls let me set the proper balance between two pairs of speakers outside by the patio and the pool. Everything sounds great.
Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Easy To Set Up, Good Audio
Summary: A very good piece of equipment and JR's had a great price. The only drawback is/are the intricate connectors on the back; quite a surprise -- make sure you have a small jewelers screwdriver before you get your hopes up for using it. Barely supports 14 guage wire, which is strange too, given its intended purpose. Beyond these issues, I am pretty happy with it.
