Summary: I bought this when it first came out and didn't know you could use almost any wireless router. I feel pretty ripped off having paid that much, hell I could have bought a new airport extreme and upped my internet speed too. After 3 months it started losing the signal to airtunes, and now it won't even show up in the setup. Don't get it.
Summary: Seriously. This thing sucks. Setup was easy enough. Connected to my laptop, entered the web site and easily set up the device to connect to my network. The problem comes in when trying to steam music. It works for 5 seconds or so and then just hangs. Happens with both Pandora and Internet Radio.
Summary: I followed the instructions and was able to get this WiFi adapter to work while attached to my computer, but as soon as I moved it to the receiver, it was as if the adapter had never been set up. It's ridiculous that there is not a simple way to set it up directly through the receiver menus. This has become just another useless piece of junk collecting dust behind my receiver.
Easy Way to Connect Pioneer Elite Receiver to Internet

Summary: I bought this for use with a Pioneer Elite SC-71 receiver (purchased in 2013). Operates flawlessly. Initial setup is done on a computer via a USB port. Found that I needed my laptop to be close to my wireless router for the device to be first recognized, but since then the adapter has had no trouble connecting my receiver located on a different floor of my home. Made firmware update for my receiver a breeze!
Summary: Don't waste your money. This adapter does not work. It doesn't connect even at short distances. There are far less expensive adapters out there that work very well. Look at the Netgear product line.
Summary: Pioneer has these way over priced for what it actually is.. most of these wi fi units are about half the price of what they originally sold for. the unit works.. but it has interfered with some of my other wi fi components.
Summary: I had serious trouble trying to get it to work. I called Pioneer but their "technicians" were completely unable to figure out how to get it to work. I then called Apple to see if they knew if their airport express would work with it but got the same results. My Internet provider was in the dark also.
Summary: I installed this wireless device and it works perfect with my Pioneer VSX-53 Elite Receiver. One trick is that you need to unplug your receiver and plug it back in for it to work. Otherwise it works perfect.
Summary: I bought this to give my Pioneer AV receiver some wireless network connectivity (should be built in...shame on Pioneer). The item has worked as advertised with no unwanted disconnections, however the ethernet/usb cable connector that comes with it is not that great. The ethernet jack on the two prong cable is made of a brittle plastic and when i inserted it into the back of the device to lock it in the tab broke.
Summary: I don't get all the issues people have had with this product. Its very simple indeed to get started....press the WPS button on the router, then the button on back of the Pioneer AS-WL300,wait a minute or two and its connected! I needed to authorise the unit through each computer but that really was all. So far it has never dropped the signal and I can stream from both my laptop and my desktop.
