Garbage. I would not recommend it to anyone

Albert E. Bergeron, Amazon
21 July 2014
  • Summary: I wouldn't give it one star. I had this for about 6 months before it just died. Premium price for a piece of trash. Difficult to set up. Garbage. I would not recommend it to anyone. I had it hooked up to a Pioneer 1123k receiver. Replaced with a Netgear WNCE2001. The Netgear took about 5 minutes from the box to Pandora playing.

Not worth a single cent

beginner, Amazon

  • Summary: Interrupts all the time. That being said is enough not to recommend it. And from the reviews it looks I'm not the only having this problem.

Crapped out after 3 months.

Tomoko Shimotomai, Amazon
4 March 2014
  • Summary: I bought this when it first came out and didn't know you could use almost any wireless router. I feel pretty ripped off having paid that much, hell I could have bought a new airport extreme and upped my internet speed too. After 3 months it started losing the signal to airtunes, and now it won't even show up in the setup. Don't get it.

OMG -- worst product ever

Scott, Amazon
12 February 2014
  • Summary: Seriously. This thing sucks. Setup was easy enough. Connected to my laptop, entered the web site and easily set up the device to connect to my network. The problem comes in when trying to steam music. It works for 5 seconds or so and then just hangs. Happens with both Pandora and Internet Radio.

Never could get it to work

Amazon Customer, Amazon
8 January 2014
  • Summary: I followed the instructions and was able to get this WiFi adapter to work while attached to my computer, but as soon as I moved it to the receiver, it was as if the adapter had never been set up. It's ridiculous that there is not a simple way to set it up directly through the receiver menus. This has become just another useless piece of junk collecting dust behind my receiver.

Easy Way to Connect Pioneer Elite Receiver to Internet

Scott N. Mohler, Amazon
8 January 2014
  • Summary: I bought this for use with a Pioneer Elite SC-71 receiver (purchased in 2013). Operates flawlessly. Initial setup is done on a computer via a USB port. Found that I needed my laptop to be close to my wireless router for the device to be first recognized, but since then the adapter has had no trouble connecting my receiver located on a different floor of my home. Made firmware update for my receiver a breeze!

Garbage

John S. Peraino, Amazon
30 October 2013
  • Summary: Don't waste your money. This adapter does not work. It doesn't connect even at short distances. There are far less expensive adapters out there that work very well. Look at the Netgear product line.

  • Summary: Pioneer has these way over priced for what it actually is.. most of these wi fi units are about half the price of what they originally sold for. the unit works.. but it has interfered with some of my other wi fi components.

Pioneer AS-WL300

Sean, Amazon
15 August 2013
  • Summary: I had serious trouble trying to get it to work. I called Pioneer but their "technicians" were completely unable to figure out how to get it to work. I then called Apple to see if they knew if their airport express would work with it but got the same results. My Internet provider was in the dark also.
