18 October 2014
  • Summary: Bought mine for around $30 and worked for a year afterwards until they caught on my desk and was yanked from my ear :(. Store was kind enough to give me a full refund tho. Would highly recommend these earbuds. They would make amazing gifts too. ;) ;) ;)
  • Pros: Low and clear bass Crisp Mid range excellent high range Noise isolation Very Comfortable
  • Cons: microphonics to be expected -rustling, thumping noise from the cord.

Great earbuds

Dan S., Newegg
21 April 2012
  • Summary: Great sound quality. Once you have the right fit, you got to play with the silicone buds, the quality of the sound will not disappoint you. if somebody complains of a lack of base very likely is because of the poor fit. I would buy them again
  • Pros: Great range. Not only base but also highs and mids
  • Cons: None

$100 is worth the cost

David S., Newegg
17 April 2012
  • Summary: If other manufacturers can make good headphones like Yamaha's it will be great, but so far this is the best for the price.
  • Pros: This is on par with other headphones costs $300 or more! And it just cost $100! They are very good sounding headphones that block out noise extremely well. Bass is rich and mids and highs are fine. They are also fairly comfortable. Definitely worth the cost.
  • Cons: None even after I bought it quite a while.

That's called Yamaha quality -- awesome

David S., Newegg
17 April 2012
  • Summary: Good for me since some of my music player doesn't have equalizer and this headphone doesn't need equalizer to make further adjustments. Another big advantage is, it doesn't need external batteries. Noise isolation is also quite effective. I can hear nothing except the music I am playing!
  • Pros: Yamaha is the world's largest manufacturer of musical instruments and their product is always very good. And this headphone EPH-50 is their new flagship product and it meets my quality expectation. Bass is good, mids and highs is awesome -- there's no need to use software equalizer to tune the so...

  • Pros: These earbuds are absolutely magnificent. They provide magnificent sound and bass and are very very comfortable. Absolutely no complaints. I got them on sale a long time ago here on Newegg. For some reason, they were only $30 and I bought them out of pure whim. I am completely in love with them. ...
  • Cons: The price is a little steep, but it's worth it.

Great inexpensive headphones.

Dan E., Newegg
14 January 2012
  • Summary: I was looking for a fairly inexpensive pair of well balanced ear bud style headphones for everyday use and traveling. I would recommend these to anyone.
  • Pros: They sound great. Good low end sound but not overly bass heavy. I also have a set of the Klipsch S4 which are more expensive yet not as good.
  • Cons: Their cord is a little skinny so it feels like you need to be careful not to break it but I haven't had any problems.

Nicholas S., Newegg
9 November 2011
  • Summary: These were well worth the $35 i payed for them when i got them on sale, and they would be well worth the $100 I would have spent if they were not!
  • Pros: - Great Sound Quality - Great Noise Canceling - Loud Bass (Its great most of the time!) I have had these headphones for about a year and they are very good sounding headphones that block out noise extremely well. They are also fairly comfortable, after a while they get a little uncomfortable but ...
  • Cons: - Loud Bass (seriously... its pretty nuts sometimes...) - The cord is cheap and after a while it feels like its going to fall apart.
