Great Frequency Response Throughout

Az Rocker, Yamaha
25 November 2012
  • Summary: These earphones sound great throughout the range. Only problem I've seen with them is they don't seem to seal as well as some other earphones I've had. I use them riding my motorcycle and get a lot of wind noise. May try the seals from my other earphones to see how they work. They sound excellent while I'm out walking the dog, good bass response. Turned the equalizer off on my iPod.
  • Pros: Good Bass, Good Value, Great Sound
  • Cons: Can be uncomfortable, Does Not Always Seal Well, Too Much Ambient Noise

Gary, Yamaha

  • Summary: This is on par with other headphones costs $300 or more! And it just cost [$]! They are very good sounding headphones that block out noise extremely well. Bass is rich and mids and highs are fine. It also comes with 0.25" plug adapter, which is handy for using on my receiver, which is also made by Yamaha. They are also fairly comfortable. Definitely worth the cost.

Great earbuds

Dan S., Newegg
21 April 2012
  • Summary: Great sound quality. Once you have the right fit, you got to play with the silicone buds, the quality of the sound will not disappoint you. if somebody complains of a lack of base very likely is because of the poor fit.
  • Pros: Great range. Not only base but also highs and mids
  • Cons: None

David S., Newegg
17 April 2012
  • Summary: If other manufacturers can make good headphones like Yamaha's it will be great, but so far this is the best for the price.

That's called Yamaha quality -- awesome

David S., Newegg
17 April 2012
  • Summary: Good for me since some of my music player doesn't have equalizer and this headphone doesn't need equalizer to make further adjustments. Another big advantage is, it doesn't need external batteries.
  • Pros: Yamaha is the world's largest manufacturer of musical instruments and their product is always very good. And this headphone EPH-50 is their new flagship product and it meets my quality expectation. Bass is good, mids and highs is awesome -- there's no need to use software equalizer to tune the sound, since the hardware provides an super rich sound! Good for me since some of my music player doesn't have equalizer and this headphone doesn't need equalizer to make furthe...

SUPERB

Felix P., Newegg
27 March 2012
  • Summary: Get them, you won't regret it.
  • Pros: These earbuds are absolutely magnificent. They provide magnificent sound and bass and are very very comfortable. Absolutely no complaints. I got them on sale a long time ago here on Newegg. For some reason, they were only $30 and I bought them out of pure whim. I am completely in love with them. Although $99 is a bit steep, I can guarantee you they are worth it.
  • Cons: The price is a little steep, but it's worth it.

Great inexpensive headphones.

Dan E., Newegg
14 January 2012
  • Summary: I was looking for a fairly inexpensive pair of well balanced ear bud style headphones for everyday use and traveling. I would recommend these to anyone.
  • Pros: They sound great. Good low end sound but not overly bass heavy. I also have a set of the Klipsch S4 which are more expensive yet not as good.
  • Cons: Their cord is a little skinny so it feels like you need to be careful not to break it but I haven't had any problems.
