Summary: Judging from the two previous reviews, it seems some people just don't get the idea of the 'asymmetrical headphone cord'. The idea is to wrap the right earphone's cord around the back of your neck. Just look at the instructions that come in the box. This allows you to hang the earbuds around your neck when not in use.
Pros: Comfortable, Compact, Good Value, Great Sound, Lightweight
Summary: The only thing I don't personally like about these headphones is that the cord for the right ear is significantly longer than the left. I realize they were made to use as in-ear monitors and the right ones can come around the head, but it just looks funny when you're not using them as in-ears. Enough about the aesthetics, these headphones are great!
Summary: These Headphones are a joke! They are all Defective! Yamaha should take them off the shelf and J&R should not sell them point. Look on other site reviews and you will find people say the left side wire of the headphones is shorter then the right side headphone. L/side is 2in of wire and the right is 9in to 10in long. There is no adjustment for it that is how it was made. The sound of these is like if you took too cheap tweeters and put them on your ears.
Pros: Lightweight, Stylish
Cons: 300 Headphone for 29, Cheap junk, Cord Too Short, Defective all of them, Don't buy, Fall off ears, Falls Off/Out Of Ear, Flimsy Construction, Ipod OEM are better then, No bass at all, Or 300 heaphones for40, Overpriced, Poor Sound, Poor Value, Sounds like a tweeter, Too Much Ambient Noise, Weak midrange sound, Wire to short
Summary: Purchased the Yamaha EPH-30 headphones to replace my ipod standard equipment head set. These have a more crisp sound but less bass. And what is up with the leads being different in length? They had to be designed for some one with at least 14" between the ears. By wrapping one lead around and around at the junction and tying it up it made a cute little bow! They do a good job of canceling outside noise though. The leads are pretty kinky too and don't hang well. Oh well!
Great sounding in-ear headphones at a decent price

Summary: I recently bought these in order to use them as a replacement for the aging stock earbuds that came with my mp3 player. I already have a pair of on-ear and over-the-ear headphones (from Koss and Bose respectively) that I use on varying situations. I figured it was about time to replace the earbuds because I needed something that I could just carry around in my pocket along with my mp3 player, something my other headphones were not capable of.
