Summary: These are an amazing pair of IEM's. The monitors as well as the detachable cable feel high quality. The ear tips included are great as well, allowing me to forget that they are in my ears. I can listen to them for 5+ hours without any discomfort. I use them when I run and workout. They stay in my ears and there is very little microphonics. The sound quality is wonderful too. The best way I could describe the sound is dark.
Summary: These monitors have a strong bottom end and very articulate mids. The highs are a bit toned down compared to other headphones, but I can use these monitors for a 4 hour practice or show without any noticeable hearing fatigue. I highly recommend these for working musicians.
Summary: Note: This review is for the UM3XRC! If the UM PRO 30s sound this good, I can't wait to try them -- especially if the cables and body are even a bit more ergonomic!
Warning: Poorly recorded music has never sounded so terrible...but good recordings will absolutely come alive.
My experience with these earphones began years ago, but today I heard them again for the first time.
I'll explain: I had thought mine were broken for the last year or so.
Summary: Forgive me as I am posting this a little late. I purchased a pair of the UM3X and have not looked back, Pure Bliss. I can honestly say that as an audio enthusiast I was unable to believe that any IEM was "Worth" the money. was I wrong. As clean and smooth as I had hoped for. Perfect balance in all ranges.
Anyone looking to purchase new IEM's, Please do yourself a huge favor and buy them here. The "Oh I can get them at so and so cheaper" is not worth it.
Summary: Previously I have already had the UM3X IEM headphones and they were really detailed and balanced . The only flaw of the UM3X was a slightly reduced treble extension which deprived parts of the music of a magic touch of shine. Another thing the UM3X was the slight predominance of low and medium frequencies .
UM30 PRO headphones have solved all these problems in a divine way .
Summary: I won't go into the technical specs as they are listed for you. I just want to give you an idea of what I think of the UM3x so that it may help you make an educated decision.
I've spent 15 years in the music industry working at major and independent record labels. Thus, I've had access to some pretty good sounds over the years.
I've owned many earbuds including Sony, UE, as well as the Westone 1 and UM1's. The UM1's and Westone 1's have a nice sound.
Summary: I am an audio production professional as well as an amateur electronic musician and DJ. If you read any bad reviews of this product, it is mostly likely because the user did not know how to properly insert or choose the best fitting tips for their ear, which are common rookie mistakes regarding in-ear monitors.
I am pairing with the small size Shure rubber tips, but 3 of the 4 sets of rubber tips included with these buds work equally well for me.
Summary: I am a big fan of Westone products, and the UM3X earphones I purchased only intensifies my admiration for the company. I normally listen to my earphones while working out, so keeping them in place when I am moving around is a huge factor - I am totally impressed with the over-the-ear plastic cable cover that "molds" to the contour of my ear. I never have to adjust anything......I simply place them in the ear canal, and go. The sound is wonderful.
Summary: This is not my first high end IEM purchase, owning some Sonys, Shures... I've decided to buy something that I truly like. Hence, i took my friend's UM3X to try out, and I fell in love with it almost immediately. Having chanced upon Earphonesolutions, the price is absolutely great. Therefore, I bought it on the spot.
Having receiving it promptly, i tested out with my usual classical fix, some old rocks and ... I must say its worth every penny.
