Summary: Nice earphones. Good balanced sound, bass not especially pronounced as I usualy prefer. Comfortable even if it's not as small as the Audéo's from Phonak. Stay aware: they're very loud with a 122db and I wouldn't recommend to listen over hours at full power! I like the fact that you can replace the cables if necessary. Over all I'm satisified with the Westone UM PRO 10.
Summary: I purchased these for my wife and she has been very happy with them. I also took a listen and was quite impressed. I have owned two pairs of Shure in ears (an old pair of single BA driver ones and the SE 315s) and now own a pair of Westone 4rs. Based on my previous experience with single BA driver in ears, I was afraid that these would be lacking in the low end. My wife loves the fit of the Westones however and our budget for these limited me to one option.

Design & Build Quality
The UM PRO 10s are well built and look as good as most other IEMs but this is by no means the best part about their design. What I like about the design of this IEM is the compactness, Westone have clearly taken their time designing an IEM which is as small as possible with no compromises.
Summary: As soon as I got the earbuds I plugged into my computer iTunes. I was amazed at how much better my music could sound. I purchased these for use with Aviom systems and they work great. I was happy with the price relatively speaking I felt it was a good deal.
I highly recommend these earphones they work great. The only negative I've experienced it the fit. When I get them in just right they fit super well. It's a bit difficult to get them in just right the first time.
Summary: Really great sound and price on this one. I like that the special edition red ones came with a hard case too. The sound is nice and neutral, just what I was looking for, perhaps a bit too analytical for some. I wanted a tad more bass and when I learned that the W1 had a bit more midrange bloom and a wee bit more bass, I bought it as well. This was thanks to the excellent custom service here at Earphones Solutions.
Summary: I find the UM1 gives the best value for the frequency response. I was satisfied with the comfort and isolation. I use the UM1in the gym and other exercise routines. The first UM1failed after two and half years when the right wire developed some loose connection giving some intermittent connection. I tried other earphones like Sony, etc, but they were not as comfortable nor provided the isolation and smoothness.
Summary: I have owned several products in - what I call - the high-end consumer/low-end audiophile area, and the UM1s are the best overall package I have owned - especially for the price. That is probably mostly due to the fit. I have worn these for up to 5 hours without any problems. Previous IEMs would leave me in pain after 2 hours. I also bought my wife a pair. She has small ears and has never had an issue with them.
Summary: I had been trying various earphones looking for a set that would attenuate rather than exacerbate wind noise while cycling at higher speeds created by the wind passing over the ears. These are the best by far among those I tired. Wind noise is greatly reduced and I can listen to program material at a very low volume. I attribute this mainly to the lack of a port, their very low profile, and good seal in the ear canal.
Summary: It took me awhile to get the hang of properly getting the earbuds in and out...I've been using over the ear forever. But now that I have the hang of it, the sound really is excellent. I don't believe it stands up to quality over the ear, but I'll trade that for portability.
What I do believe in is the isolating qualities.
