Summary: Called Sony today - via their trouble shooting phone #. They asked for the serial # - I told them there wasn't one where it should be and they said " SHADY" after trying to trouble shoot the item - they said defective - send it back. Boxing it now and sending it back. Really disappointed.
Summary: -- Product defects and refurb replacement... and finally a full refund! Purchased the unit in November 2012. Feb 2013 Ok 95 days after I purchased it, the sound bar stopped responding to commands from the remote control. I know it wasn't the remote as I had also been using 2 Logitech remotes with this sound bar. It appears that the infrared sensor or logic board failed, as the sound bar worked if you used the buttons on the unit.
Summary: I purchased this item from The Happy Store, an Amazon seller. The item was defective. I contacted the manufacturer, Vizio. They walked me through a couple of steps to try to correct the situation. At the end of the call, the rep said "the item is defective, we will send you a replacement.

Summary: I bought my Vizio VHT510 5.1-Channel Home Theater System via Amazon.com. The actual seller was GPCK INC, I think. As indicated in many product reviews, the LED volume indicators on the soundbar stopped working in Jun 2012. When I called Vizio, they told me that since I did not buy it from an authorized retailer, my warranty is invalid. Therefore, they did not help me. Even though I sent them my original invoice, they said that GPCK INC should not sell these items.
Summary: Subwoofer and satellite speakers never worked. Three calls to Vizio support were no help. With all the time I've wasted trying to get this to work, I could have bought a full priced Bose system. Sorry, have to run and repackage everything to send it back.
Summary: It is unlikely we would buy Visio again. We have a small visio tv with poor sound and a remote that does not work well. We bought the the home theater against our better judgement. The sound did not work from the start. The customer service wanted us to register the unit before talking to us. They also wanted us to have it repaired rather than return it. I simply am not willing to repair a NEW product it should work from day one.
You get what you pay for. OK sound, low price, horrible quality control

Summary: This is a very inexpensive speaker system, and you get what you pay for. The sound is good at high volume, but only okay at low volumes with very muffled treble. The surround effect from the single front speaker bar (combining front left, center, and front right channels) is okay but not perfect.
Cons: Ordered one of these Vizio VHT510 from Walmart.com with site to store free shipping.Had it 3 days and the Adjustment/Volume Controls LEDs quit working,packed it back up returned it to the local Walmart got a full refund.Cannot say enough about the good re
