  2. Review: Ultrasone HFI-580 headphones

You may have seen the review of Ultrasone’s mega-high-end Series 9 headphones the other day. Well, the company doesn’t just make $1600 cans; these HFI-580s represent the more affordable end of their product spectrum, and although they cost about 90% less, I’m thinking they probably sound 90% as good. The Ultrasone HFI-580’s are impressively accurate-sounding for closed-backed headphones. We like the streamlined design compared with the bulkier , though the latter are more comfortable. We can't help but wish for a little more low bass power and a coiled telephone-style cord, but we highly recommend the HFI580s if you need very fine detailed mids, upper bass, and highs. • Very lively, wide sound • Attractive and health-conscious design • Well-suited to critical... If you are looking for a pair of headphones that you can wear while you are running accompanied by the music coming from your MP3 player, the Ultrasone Proline 750 headphones are definitely not for you. However, if you really care about your music and sometimes listen to music attentively while doing nothing else, then the Ultrasone Proline 750 headphones are most definitely the right choice for you. I have come to realize the opinions (especially among audio... Read more
