Great value

  • Excerpt: Music sounds great with these. They are a little heavy, but I knew that when I bought them. What I did not know was that they make great ear warmers. This is good for winter, but may not be so good in summer. I'm quite happy with them. They don't seem to really need a headphone amp to sound good which is another plus.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Good Value, Great Sound
  • Cons: Ears Can Get Hot

They blew me away!

  • Excerpt: I was able to audition a few models in the [$]range prior to purchasing these. Because of the good reviews that I read and the excellent pricing ([$]), I decided to order these and sell them if they were not up to my expectations. Let me just say that I was very impressed. The build quality is amazing. German engineering shows (although there is a tag on them that says "made in Taiwan"). They are solid, no flimsy parts or "plasticy" stuff going on here.
  • Pros: Amazing Soundstage, Durable, Good Bass, Good Value, Great Sound
  • Cons: A bit heavy

Great headphone

  • Excerpt: Chose it based on comfort. Did not push on my earlobes, which was the case with some Sennheisers and Audio Technicas. So expected better comfort but not better sound than the latter ones. Found out that the sound was just as terrific. Great comfortable headphones.

Best headphones I've owned.

31 October 2012
  • Excerpt: I bought these headphones to use with my phone, computer and tablet. Every single headphone I owned before sounded too low for my taste. I did my research and found out that usually these devices do not have enough "juice" for headphones. I found references that HFI-580 would work fine without the need of headphone amplifiers so I took the plunge and I could not be any happier.
  • Pros: Durable, Good Bass, Good Value, Great Sound, Stylish
  • Cons: Headband Needs Streching, Uncomfortable

  • Excerpt: Folds up, fairly compact for powerful headphones. Overall SUPER happy with these headphones. I get excited about going back to my room to jam to things at my desktop.First pair of headphones where bass wasn't muddy, and you could clearly tell the sound was at a much higher quality.

NICEEE

  • Excerpt: I decided to cop these headphones after being dissatisfied with the Ultrasone PRO 750's. They just didn't complement my music preferences well. However, these excel in every place where those were lacking. These have a balanced mid-range that make vocals shine. I can really enjoy PJ Harvey, Joanna Newsom, and St. Vincent through these. They also have abundant bass, not overpowering, that can really bump when the track calls for it.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Good Bass, Lightweight, Stylish
  • Cons: 9 ft cord

WOW. These are something else!

  • Excerpt: I had experience with many headphones, such as the ATH M50 and HD 380 PRO, and the HFI 580 is better in every aspect. I would pay three hundred for these! The sound is crystal clear in the entire spectrum, and the bass is huge. There is a lot of bass, and it is not overpowering nor muddy. There is so much detail in the bass region, it is almost crisp. They are pretty comfortable when you stretch them out.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Bass, Good Value, Great Sound, Lightweight, Pretty Portable, Stylish
  • Cons: No Detachable Cable
