Summary: These headphones are not what you would expect.. The quality and sound are not good at all.. I have bought 39.00 headphones that sound better.. Mine are 7 months old now.. and the headgear just snapped in half!! Don't waste your $ on these.!!
Summary: I bought this headset back in April and I loved it. Then about a month or so later, one of the drivers went bad on me. I got in touch with Turtle Beach support who wanted to give me a stereo headset with a digital surround processor. I was able to get them to send me a new amp instead. After that everything was fine until the right ear snapped just above the cup. Once again the wanted to send me an incomparable replacement.
Summary: From a week after I got them the line going in to the sound box was frayed and breaking, I opened it up and was able to fix it but that only lasted for about 5 months. Then today the mic totally died on me, very annoying. TB makes awesome products, but they make them on the super cheap and they break fast. This is the last I buy from them.
Summary: Since the time I have purchased this headset, nearly a year ago, I have had to replace it due to the hard plastic adjustable bands that hold onto the earphones snapping. One snapped and as a temporary fix I push that side all the way into the band to make it last and when I go to put the headphone on again the other side snapped. This was within the RMA period so I replaced it hoping it was simply a defect with that particular one. Nope.
Summary: This headset is junk. The plastic above the left ear cup broke after just a few weeks of very light use. I did not want to deal with the return process so I just glued it together. It held up for a few months but then the other side broke. The headset is used maybe once a week and other than the cracks (which make it pretty much useless), looks like new even after 18 months. I will definitely never buy another Turtle Bay product.
Summary: Within a week of using this headset my mic started acting up sounding like i was crinkling a chip bag as i was talking right next to the mic. A couple weeks later the right speaker just stopped working. The plastic is crap it will break just from looking at it. This headset is not worth the money.
Summary: So in the 10 months I have owned them they have broken 4 times, I have decided not to RMA them again since you have to pay for shipping to send them back each time... Which is bull. The plastic band snaps with normal wear and tear, it's a known issue I see tons of people on forums talking about it all the time. So yeah I am going to pick up some Steelseries or maybe some nice Sennheisers instead.
Summary: So, I bought this product when I built a new computer because I needed a good gaming headset and I play a lot of pc games. I have never owned a turtle beach product before and this was my first one. I read some of the reviews and seen that they break easily, etc. and I thought "oh well, that's just people not taking good care of their equipment" Soooooo, I bought this product anyways and that was my mistake. The product itself works great.
Summary: Well, let's get started off with the good. The surround sound works as you would expect it to, good for gaming or media or whatever you feel like you need a pair of surround sound headsets for. The overall sound quality is decent, and that's really about all that there is. The cons are as follows - build quality. This thing feels like it's going to fall apart in my hands. The HPA2 (the predecessor to this) looked flimsy, but felt sturdy in your hands.
