Turtle Beach TBS-2052 review

Summary: I purchased these in late September 2014 and right away noticed that the sound volume was lower than previous head sets that I owned. Sound quality was lacking in base but for gaming they were comfortable. Major drawback in the microphone during audio chat or voice notes they had a popping sound at the beginning of sentences that was not there with other microphones.
Summary: Just want to chime in with the rest and report a unit that broke after a short time. This was for my son. Before long one earpiece stopped producing sound. We eventually replaced this unit with Turtle Beach X12, and then another X12 after that one broke, and then another. Finally I bought him a Yamaha set of headphones and they've been going strong far longer than any of the Turtle beach units.
Sounds great but the plastic cracks above the left earphone.

Summary: I don't have any idea what they sound like because two headsets in a row had cracks in the left side just above the earphone. It may have been a bad batch, but we won't reorder this product. We had another turtle beach that was even more pricey and it cracked in the same place after about eight months lite use. That's three! They sounded great but no more Turtle Beach for us.
Summary: The fit of these headphones was wonderful, and the cushion around the ear provide a great dampening of exterior noise. Unfortunately after 3 months of use the plastic extension above the left earpiece snapped when I took it off my head. The piece probably was stressed because the hinge underneath it is limited in its motion so that the headphones can properly clamp down over the top of your head. I used them at work to listen to music and for video chat.
Summary: Listen to the reviews on here and other sites. The one that says "the plastic piece above the left earmuff broke" is true. I am very careful with my headset never dropped it or threw it around. I would sit it down carefully, but then a few minutes ago I went to go do something took it off my head like I usually do. Sure enough the plastic snapped.( http://i.imgur.com/MmJGUWH.jpg ).That's where it broke.
Summary: its not hit or miss, its made of plastic the headset is nice and comfy and the microphone works well but the adjustment bands are super thin plastic and most likely will break at some point. mine lasted 2 months.
Summary: Virtual Call Center User I just received my headset yesterday, so its a bit early to know for sure, but so far so good. I work in a virtual call center, so I must have a good reliable headset with good quality sound. I have gone through a lot of headsets. I started out life buying them from Walmart, Target, Best Buy and other local retailers. That was a waste of time and money.
