Summary: I am trully amazed. I bought these when I was overseas, came home and they were simply amazing. Then 8 months later the wireless adapter broke. The button simply broke. I took it apart to fix it, and it is a cheap unfixable design. One week later, the system itself no longer works.
Summary: The wired turtle beach headsets are great, however the wireless one is horrible. The headset gets interference and cuts out from all wireless signals even things that are on different frequencies. Unless you live in a cave with no wireless technology other than this headset, do not buy it.
Summary: I bought this as a Christmas gift for an avid gamer. When it arrived, it was dead in the box. A trouble ticket was opened with Turtle Beach, and for the first two days they refused to help me.
Summary: I have used numerous headsets from "low-end" Turtle Beach headsets to Astros. I decided to try these and was very disappointed on a number of levels. I sit literally less than 3 feet in front of my TV and these things dropped my voice when chatting and altered it in a strange way.
Summary: I was able to snag a pair of the XP 500s at a great discount rate after the holidays, and was super excited to be owning (what I thought was) the best gaming headset money can buy. I set them up correctly, and started playing my games. Everything worked perfectly.
Poor sound quality due to cracking/popping noises from interference

Summary: My experience with this headset was poor because I could not resolve severe popping and crackling sounds caused by wireless interference. I tried to troubleshoot the problem to no avail. I'll have to try a wired headset or a headset that uses 5ghz frequency.
Summary: Be advised! This review is being written by Theresa's Dad. When my kids asked me what I wanted for father's day, I asked for this. I own an EarForce X3 and DSS Surround sound add-on. Both are great products but when I saw the XP500, I knew I had to have it.
