Works Great.... only for a while
29 July 2013
Summary: I bought this headset back in March. I got them over Astros because they were recommended by a buddy of mine. as a lot of people said the left ear cup goes out. In my case the Chat cable went out and now i have to use the phone adapter cable in order to chat with friends. I've contacted Turtle Beach support about a month ago... still waiting for a reply. NOT WORTH THE $300!!!!!! Also with the new consoles coming out i guarantee the headset won't work with them.
Pros: Everything except the Audio Control Unit. Super ergonomic headphones and cables.
Cons: Audio Control Unit super flat sound and is pretty must useless unless daisy chaining with team, which is only viable reason to spend 250$ (call your manager). Cheap feel, gimmicky ACU. That said most people with enough money to afford theses have a better ACU already. My 20$ is functionally better. Also my unit wasn't complete... missing a cord "K" needed to link the sound of the audio control unit into an additional audio out port. lucky i had an extra. . . but for t...
Summary: I really wanted to like this headset. It comes incredibly well packaged, looks and feels great. It is a corded headset and works with almost any device you can think of. I tested this out with my PS3 to play Black Ops 2 Zombies/Multi-Player, Tomb Raider, and watched some movies on Netflix. The headset is corded and it comes with a magnitude of wires for about every device. For the PS3, I had to connect the usb and the optical cord.
Summary: I want to mention a couple things right off as they had me thrown for a bit after I first got this headset. The little guide that comes with it lists the parts you should have and one will be missing. Its a cord called PC Stereo Adapter in the manual. The little plastic stickers that usually let you know the box hasn't been open were open when I got it so I thought my product was used.
Summary: Pros: Good sound Good Mic Nice functionality Good versatility Cons: Terrible smushing headband, irritated ears if it gets to smushed(unless you have a small head and ears), and lock jaw type feeling if it keeps smushing. Terrible Headband has a sharp rib that can bug and hurt the top of your head Usb resource problem(maybe fixable at a later date via firmware(using the ASE editor(That they tell no one about)) Unlockable side buttons by volume control make for a lot of...
Failed within hours of use; great headset while it was working
11 February 2013
Summary: Used with a 2011 Xbox 360 Standard and Halo 4. Overall: The sound quality, features, and comfort of this headset are incredible. The reliability, however, has become an issue within just a few hours of use. Sound: The sound is rich in detail and very immersive, not to mention noticeably better than the lower-end headsets like the Turtle Beach X12.
