Worth The Price

Summary: It's definitely worth the $50 price tag, and I feel the problem I had was an anomaly, but I would recommend sending it in if you have a problem with the microphone, as I could not find any fix for it and ended up damaging my headset more.
Pros: It comes at a very affordable price, and at that price offers a very nice sounds quality. One part I especially liked was the 'feedback' on the mic, it was a good indicator of telling if your microphones was on and if you could be heard.
Cons: Broken Microphone after little use. I got this headset last year as a gift (I had no return information) and shortly after my computer's motherboard crashed, so I had to wait about 7 months to build a new one, when I did, after about a week of using the headset the microphone cut in and out, and I had to tweek the cable going in the side to get it to stay on, then it cut out all together, and I cracked it open the next day (Evidently a very stupid choice on my part). ...
Summary: You get what you pay for, it's a cheap headset/mic combo. This isn't a great headset by any means.
Pros: The sound is decent, the low end is pretty nice actually. Which is what you're typically looking for in a headset if you play a lot of FPS games. The fact that it's interchangeable between PC, and Xbox is what initially drew me to this headset in the first place, very convenient.
Cons: The mic was awful from day one. People on Xbox would complain about a loud buzzing noise when it was plugged in, the buzzing went away on PC but people often complained that I sounded far away, and if I adjusted my mic closer the sound was blown out. Besides the mic, the circumaural headphones are painful to wear, after only about an hour of continual use, it will become very uncomfortable. I have a very average size head, and after adjusting it to fit better it still...
Summary: Overall I would recommend a different headset. Though the sound and mic quality are fine, there are plenty of good sounding headsets these days without the issues this one has.
Pros: Having gone thru several headsets before this one, I was happy with the sound quality, once I fixed the issue I had (see cons). The headset has lasted me a decent amount of time considering the abuse I put it thru There are only a couple of things I don't like about the headset, but they really ruin it for me.
Cons: When plugging both the 3.5mm headphone jack and the USB power cable into the front panel of my computer, I would get this horrible electrical feedback sound. I had to run a seperate USB power supply to the front of my compy to get the plugs close enough together and eliminate this issue. Also, whoever placed the in-line volume control has never gamed/used this headset while computing. It dangles right by my left arm, bothering me always and constantly gets hooked on t...
Summary: The Sound in this headset is top notch. However the Mic is not broadcast quality, sounds a bit 'fuzzy' on air. Also the fit is a bit snug and after 8 hours of production this headset will feel like a vice crushing your skull.
Summary: This is my second x12 and neither have lasted more than almost a year and a half before the mic had problems and stopped working. I would recommend looking elsewhere. Unless you can avoid moving the mic cable every so often, this might last you. I treated both headsets very well and did not adjust the microphone cable very often and not very much, yet it died twice on me. Aside from this, I have numerous friends who have always reminded me of their similar situations.
Pros: - Adjustable bass - Xbox 360 & PC Compatible - Amazing bass and sound quality - Amazing mic quality
Summary: I didn't like that these came with both a USB connection AND 2-3mm jacks, but I do appreciate the long cord. I already have several things connected to my pc as it is. I also couldn't get this to work along with having my Bose system hooked up. The sound works, but nothing too impressive. For the price range, these are pretty good and better quality than the Turtle Beach Earforce Z11.
Summary: I have a hard time giving this set just 3 stars. I feel it deserves maybe another half a star but not quite 4 stars. I just don't love it but I do really like it. I can completely understand though why so many people like this set. I bought this for use on my Macbook for my live online classes (I also plan on using it with my Xbox 360). Pros: I think this set is well made. It feels like it's made of good quality materials and dare I say it?
