Summary: THE HEADPHONE WORKS NEAR PERFECT EXCEPT THE FACT THE MICROPHONE IS NOT WORKING. NO IT IS NOT ON MUTE, YES THE GREEN LIGHT IS GLOWING, BUT NO ONE CAN HEAR ME. I'M NOT SURE WHAT THAT IS ABOUT BUT IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME FIGURE THIS OUT, I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT.
Summary: Not very pleased with these headphones. I had the x1's before these, after a couple years a wire croaked out causing only 1 side to work (which could probably be fixed easily but i don't have the tools to do so). Tho there is a couple things I do like about this headset, I think the bad may outweigh the good. I do like: The fact you can hear yourself in your headset is very convenient, keeps you from yelling when someone talks to you with your volume up.
Excerpt: I have had this headset and the XP400 (which is not on the site) and this one had good sound but it was very flimsy and the headset broke after a short time (after the warranty expired of course) I then bought the Turtle Beach XP400 headset (which retails for between $180 and $250 but is well worth it) This headset was wired to the console and worked on Xbox only.
Summary: Well, my dang dog ate my stock headset that came with my Xbox. So, after days of research, I bought the Turtle Beach X11. Honestly, I love them. I haven't heard hissing or feedback. The voice chat is clean and reliable. Everyone I've talked to can hear me fine with no echo. The fact that you can hear yourself is great so you know how you sound over the mic but it isn't overwhelming. Here is my two cents about the headset. Sound/Gameplay The Sound is great.
Summary: Okay, I'll start by saying that for around £40, this headset isn't terrible, far from. It's acceptable. If you have any real appriciation of good quality sound, however, then you can't help but be dissapointed by this headsets biggest flaw. Namely, the VERY noticeable hissing sound that is produced at ALL volumes and at ALL times.
Summary: I ordered this headset hoping it would perform as advertised, but to my disappointment it does not. There is a constant hiss that begins the second you plug in the usb power (even with the ac adapter and no other cords plugged into the headset). Also, the mic monitoring, game chat, and sound quality are mediocre (I have a $10 pair of ear buds that sound far better than this headset).
