Excerpt: It even comes with a switch that mutes your microphone, which easily allows for you to keep chats private between you and anyone else in the room, if they come to disturb you. If you don’t already have a set of Turtle Beach Ear-Force X1’s, you are missing out and should really go out and invest the £40 to buy a pair. It will heighten your enjoyment from any game, film or song tenfold and I’m sure you wont regret purchasing them.
Summary: In my opinion these are better then the x4's. they are a lot lighter and more comfortable to have on in 8 hr gaming sessions. my clan mates get no static i any games but halo. but on the other hand i hate halo and only play other games. it also helps when ur on ur pc and dont want to be bothered. the sound from musing helped by the around ear headphone completly drowns out the outside world.
Pros: Fast Setup, Improved Game Play, Improved Network Play
Summary: When this worked, it was a fine product. Unfortunately within a few months, my mic was giving me issues. I was always the guy on Live whose mic was giving everyone else static. Then just after the product was a year old the mic went out completely. Their customer service was helpful and sells a replacement part they say would probably fix the problem. The part is [$] [...] and no guarantee that it will fix the problem.
Summary: If you enjoy gaming, this is for you. Though when you first try it out it gives you small headaches you get used to it. Its exactly like having full surround sound in your head. Its also good because at night nobody hears a thing going on in the game, but you. No more having to turn the tv down just because of sleeping guests or family members. The turtle beach allows you to play as late as you want.
Turtle Beach Ear Force X1: Gaming like never before! An essential purchase for hardcore ...

Summary: These headphones may look like a pair of oversized headphones, and they are. But they transform the immersion of gaming, particular if you've grown accustomed to basic sound systems built in to TVs. It might sound off that the simple addition of headphones can transform a good gaming experience to a great one, but the realism these provide (and at surprising comfort) make you integrate with the game like never before.
Summary: I've owned a 360 ever since they were first released and I have now had the turtle beach X1 for at least 2 years. The thing that attracted me to buy them were the fact that you have sound in both ears! - those who own an xbox will know that the headphones that come with the xbox only covers one ear, which I found extremely annoying.
Pros: Good sound quality, sterdy build, good price.
