PX5

Michael S., Newegg
14 December 2012
  • Summary: I didnt have any problems with it until I switched apartments now I get static way too much, but if you don't think it will be an issue these are definitely worth the buy. I recommend rechargeable batteries
  • Pros: Awesome sound quality. Very customizable. Easy to use program to operate headphones Comfortable
  • Cons: A little complicated in the beginning You can pickup static if your cell phone or router is nearby. This causes irritating static noises and isn't worth it in the end if you want to stay sane.

PX5 subject to wi-fi clouds

William H., Newegg
15 June 2012
  • Summary: For a total of six thousand per lot of ten thousand units, they could've prevented this problem.
  • Pros: Nice 7.1 optical compatability along with Dolby II Pro-Logic SPIDIF with a mixer.
  • Cons: Subject to moderate wifi clouding, as they were too cheap to license a block slightly higher than the 802-11 spectrum. Do not expect constant stream if you have a medium (3 devices) wifi network.

Nice Headset/Poor Support Capabilities

MARK S., Newegg
28 February 2012
  • Summary: Apparently, you can get all of these features in the new PX3 - check them out.
  • Pros: Excellent audio quality and technical capabilities; good documentation and easy enough to use if it is working correctly.
  • Cons: My headset works great - until it doesn't. Seriously, it sounds great, is infinitely adjustable and does the job, except that sometimes it goes haywire and back-feeds the game and chat audio out through to the chat session - a huge, loud echo. My friends are savvy and start screaming at me becaus...

Not worth the cost

Louis G., Newegg
20 May 2011
  • Summary: These work well enough, but for the money I don't think they are worth it. I have a set of standard wired Bose headphones that cost half as much. The Bose has 99% of the sound quality, much much better fit and weight and overall better quality. Did I mention half the cost.
  • Pros: Sound quality is good for the most part. Wireless. Fancy audio processing features. Works with any digitial signal. I have this hooked up to my HDTV's digital audio output so I can use them with anything, Xbox, Ps3, stereo, etc.
  • Cons: They are Heavy, they don't fit well and get occasional static even if I sit only a few feet from the base station. The base station requires power via a USB port which is very strange. I am using these with my home entertainment center for gaming and movies and such. I don't want to use up a USB p...
