Great sound quality, POOR CONSTRUCTION!!!
2 December 2010
Summary: Overall the px21's have great sound quality. It has a deep bass and i love the fact that you can control the level of game sound and chat seperately. what i dont love, is that not even a month after recieving them, THEY BROKE!!! when i was pulling off the headset by the ear cups as most people are liable to do... the left ear cup (one with the mic) snapped off the head piece!!!
Summary: Let me start off by saying that the PX21s have decent sound quality. Better than the TV. The build of the headset is feels pretty cheap overall. Does it feel heavy on your head? After an hour or two you will start to feel the headset clamping down on your head (mostly your ears) and you'll want to take it off. The control module (where you control the chat volume/game volume/bass/etc.) has a clip, and that pretty much snaps if you drop it, cheap.
Summary: The product was just NOT what I expected. I was originally sold on all the fancy audio features, but I was also seeking a simple connection and the devil is in the details. This headset is wired and that's fine. But the end connection splinters into 2 audio jacks and 1 USB connection. It turns out the the headset uses the USB for power and microphone output to the PS3, but uses the RCA jacks coming out of the PS3 for input audio.
Summary: I had 3 of these headsets, first one I got broke within a week (speakers blew) the next ones snaped at the earcuffs in about a 3 months, and the third pair did the same thing. So I said screw it and went and bought new ones. It was very very flimsy but the sound quality was there. I never used it on my playstation 3 I only used it on my computer so none of the cool features were avaliable. it also talks back too you and you can't turn that off.
Summary: This headset has decent sound quality and performs well enough but the build quality is atrocious. The whole thing is very cheaply put together and falls apart quite easily. After about 2 months the swivel for the microphone to adjust it up and down became loosened and the mic just sat at its lowest position. Then about a month after that the whole left earpiece snapped off and was left hanging by a cord. This was my first Turtlebeach product and also my last.
Summary: I owned 3 pairs of this headset. On each one, the belt clip broke. I called TB about it and they said it was a common problem which, to me, seems like they don't put a pride of manufacturing into their products. They last for as long as you treat them like they'll break if you drop them, because honestly, if you drop them, they will break. They are not built very sturdy and use low quality plastic on every part of this headset.
Summary: After only six months of VERY CAREFUL use (by an adult) one of the ear pieces fell off from the headset. Further inspection showed that the two ear pieces are pivoting on VERY small plastic pieces that attach the headset together. Once these small plastic pivots break the headset falls apart. Other than this very big complaint everything else was wonderful. Before the headset broke we bought others as gifts for people.
