Turtle Beach Surround Sound Headphones
30 January 2011
Summary: Surround sound greatly adds to the gamer experience, but quality issues do not. My microphone will not plug in far enough to make electrical contact, and is therefor, useless. A little Quality Assurance please, before you seal the blister pack. Sound is a little flat, had to crank of the graphic equalizer a LOT to make them sound sharp on the high end, but the low end is GREAT!
Summary: I heard this would work with an iMac, it did, just after a few complications. The mic worked but the Mac did not supply enough power for it to work through its 3.5mm jack. Then it uses 3 types of sound jacks. The Mac does not have these. So, I then bought an external sound card. Then Everything worked fine.
Summary: This is a great headset for sure! I owned a Turtle Beach X-51 (which i dont think they make anymore?) that broke. i was looking for a more durable headset but the same sound quality. These are way better than the 51s cuz they have real subs not vibration subs so the bass comes out more. add the inline amp and u can crank up the sound to crazy levels!
