Third time still not a charm!!!
6 July 2014
Summary: Well, these lasted a few months longer than the other two pair of Turtle Beach headsets I have purchased. Don't waste your money on any Turtle Beach headset. They are poorly made. The previous two sets of headphones I had were X12's. These failed when the wire from the headset broke. I then purchased this wireless headset thinking that would solve the problem. In less than a year the mic went bad. It started cutting in and out.
Summary: Broke in no time despite being well taken care of. Wouldn't charge unless held at a certain angle. Obviously a short in the charging port. Ordered a new one to replace it as a warranty return and the new one was even worse. Stopped charging after one week. Don't waste your money. Bought an afterglo headset which is much cheaper and works perfectly.
Summary: For some reason, following all instructions, the left ear cup cuts in and out. Changing volume to create larger bass sounds reduces the effect, but in general they are crappy and cheap. I love Turtle Beach, the 11 series are great (the 12 are inferior to the 11's I found out first hand). But this headset is a "don't buy".
Summary: I got 2 sets hoping for the best but they were finicky at best with Windows 8 Pro. This headset was the default sound device for both recording and listening but some programs and games had sound and others did not???? So that's a new one on me as I build my own PC's and have literally built hundreds. A headset should not be a second job! Turtle Beach Customer Support leave everything to be desired so back they go.
Summary: I have had these headphones for about 6 months. They really SUCK!!!! DON'T BUY!. The person next to you can hear everything you are listening to just like they were wearing them! They are more like awful speakers than headphones. This has to be the worse Turtle Beach product I have ever seen. After a few months, I could tell on most rock songs that the bass sounded awful in the left earphone.
Summary: These arrived with no low-end in the right channel, making them useless. I did get low frequency response from them when I held down two of the the face buttons at the same time. Clearly there was some kind loose connection inside the headset. I returned it without intention to replace them with the same model. Otherwise, these fit nicely, though the mic is a obnoxiously huge for some reason. I got these for use on PC, I didn't test them against my consoles.
Summary: I ordered these in Sept to ensure I had them for my son's 14th BD in Dec. Not a cheap present. The right headphone is damaged, not even attached to the headset. When I sent my request for a new set, the first notification I got from Amazon was that I needed to have complained by December 10th. Well, since we just opened them for my son's BD tonight, it looks like we passed that date. Hopefully the seller will make things right.
Summary: Have had this headset since November 17th, 2011. Had it for two months and it wouldn't charge anymore. Sent it back to Amazon and they fulfilled another headset next day through their warranty which was awesome! Amazon fulfilled every obligation that was required of them. Then the story continues... After recieving the next headset, it worked for another two months then guess what? It wouldn't charge anymore.
