Excerpt: Being an official Microsoft-licensed product means more than just a pretty green logo on the Tritton Warhead 7.1 Wireless Surround Headset’s box: no dongles are needed for wireless chat. The Warhead syncs directly with the 360; just two button presses and you’re ready to go — complete with a nifty battery notification icon on your Guide menu, just like with a wireless controller. It’s hard not to like something that’s been made so easy to use.
Pros: + At last: a 100% wireless headset with extremely simple setup!, + Clear audio and chat; lots of included accessories; comfortable to wear.
Cons: ? Will we go sterile if we wear these long enough to chew through both battery packs?
Tritton Warhead 7.1 Wireless Surround Sound Headset for Xbox 360 review
3 August 2012
Summary: Since we were never without battery power while using the Warhead, we basically had to force ourselves to stop playing MW3 long enough to write this review. The Warhead is a solid offering from Tritton, proving the company has finally caught up to the latest generation of gaming headsets. The sound it produces is respectable, the fit is fairly comfortable and all of its features prove to be extremely useful and enjoyable.
Pros: Ridiculously long battery life, Totally integrated wireless audio, Intuitive Xbox-focused feature set
