great for metal detecting

Ronald L., Newegg
10 January 2013
  • Summary: The sale price was great at 79 bucks, I should have bought 3 pair.
  • Pros: They work well, no lag time(that I noticed), this is very important when being used with a high end metal detector. Batteries last at least 20 hrs or more.
  • Cons: They will shut off after 2min. of no audio signal. When using a metal detector this was annoying at first. I turned up the threshold on the detector which creates a very quiet hum, just enough audio signal to keep the headphones up and running. Wish ear cups were a little bigger to reduce pressure on my ears.

Deceased

Robert R., Newegg
4 October 2012
  • Summary: These should have been rechargable the fit could have been better I hear they have been discontinued
  • Pros: Sounded great when they worked. Good range no static.
  • Cons: They stopped working. I wore them a few times put them away changed the batteries and now the headset does not work. They will have to go back to TDK where ever that is. FYI the fit and comfort over a period of time is snug and hot. But the sound quality is very good

Excellent For Sale Price

Russell A., Newegg
19 May 2012
  • Summary: If you want to save yourself some trouble and grief, the don't mess around with inferior batteries. These phones are high drain, and work best with the best alkaline batteries, not ones that are approaching shelf-life either. Tried the included cheap batteries, problems, tried some Duracell approaching shelf-life, eventually just got some very good new batteries, and all problems ceased. They require some good strong power.
  • Pros: This is an excellent sounding set of wireless phones, great bass, great treble, overall very nice sounding, compared to my bose noise cancelling, almost as good sounding, but not quite. For sale price cannot be beaten for wireless phones, that are serious quality.
  • Cons: The only down side of these phones is that they do not fit snug on a normal adult head, a little oversize. Reduced to smallest they go, they slip off if I bend over. So, not very useful for tooling around the apartment, unless I go very slowly. I'm going to have to put some padding on the top to help them fit better.

Top class sound and build quality

Anonymous, Newegg
17 May 2012
  • Pros: * Build quality is exceptional. * Superb sound quality. Much better than the bluetooth apt-x based headset it is replacing. * Automatically shuts off when there is no audio for 2 min. My quest is over now. I can enjoy watching movie at night without sacrificing sound quality nor comfort.
  • Cons: It uses AAA battery. I wish at least the transmitter could be charged through USB.

Really good headphones

Scott M., Newegg
4 April 2012
  • Summary: Was looking for a decent pair of wireless headphones and saw these. And the typical rule of thumb is the cheaper you go the worst the quality is. So instead of going for the less expensive wireless headphones, I opted for paying more than my price range hoping it would be better in the long run. So far so good. I've really enjoyed these headphones so far. I'm really impressed with the sound and the quality mainly.
  • Pros: -Nice sound for the headphone type and technology -Light-weight -Comfortable when used for short periods of time -Can connect more than one headphone to the receiving dongle
  • Cons: -On/off not always clear -have to check later to make sure headphones are off otherwise batteries will be wasted. -Headphones ear padding does not cover the entire ear -Can be uncomfortable when wearing for a long period of time -The dongle can be bulky or annoying to keep track of

Comfortable and good sound

Axel A., Newegg
20 January 2012
  • Summary: I bought these on sale and got a major good deal, ($80) otherwise I could not afford these and I would say that the regular price is overpriced. I hesitated on wireless headphones before because all the ones I could afford (even with 4 eggs) reported bad sound at full volume, static buzzing and frequent drops. These have none of that and perform excellent, you have to be the judge if that is worth this price. My advise, wait for the next sale.
  • Pros: Nicely styled, very comfortable fit, excellent sound quality. Worked right out of the box, very easy to hook up to any equipment and comes with a couple adapters and instruction booklet; also included is a nice pouch for traveling as they can fold up quite compact. So far I am very impressed with the quality of sound and comfortable fit even for longer periods; have tried them on the PC where I heard sounds in games (Skyrim) I had not noticed before. Also hooked right...
  • Cons: Though they look like brushed metal, the make is all plastics, which for that price one might expect something more durable. Just don't sit on them by accident or fold them too hastily. I guess for that reason they are very light which is good.

Not Good

MR R PATTERSON, Amazon
8 July 2014
  • Summary: The range of these headphones is poor and I did not think much of the sound quality either. Sent them back, got a refund and went for Sennheisers instead and they are great. Steer clear.
