  • Pros: DjMixalot they need to break in and also they are not noise cancelling headphones. You need to drive these appropriately to get the right sound reproduction. 200 ohm headphones??? Understand what you are talking about before you criticize.....
  • Cons: No cons. Understand what you are doing.....

TDK ST800 review

Monsen M., Newegg
24 January 2012
  • Summary: Usually you get what you pay for, but in this case, I wasn't impressed. BTW, these are not Noise Cancelling headphones. But since they go around your ears (cupping over them), and being closed back headphones, they would be considered Noise Isolating headphones. Don't mistake the two.
  • Pros: Good bass, fair clarity, expensive looking packaging, 4 foot extension cord, velvet-like bag for storage, 1/4" adapter, small microfiber cloth to clean, unique booster/equalizer box connected inline with the cable. Muffles outside noise. You can adjust Bass and Treble by increasing/decreasing eac...
  • Cons: These headphones are heavy! Initially they seemed fine when I put them on, but as you keep them on, you feel its weight. And your ears feel warm-hot after about 20-30 mins. To use the volume control, you have to turn on the signal booster/equalizer. I didn't like the large volume control dial on ...

Very Nice Headphones

Rick E., Newegg
24 December 2011
  • Summary: I have tried a lot of current headphones, and these fit the bill as the best yet !, for sound quality. They do bring me back to my older Audiophile days when all headphones were made for quailty, vs the latest lighter heaphones.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Rugged Build, Supurb Sound Quality, Solid Cord. Important! PLZ Note : I was about to return these, beacuse all I got was distorted sound when I played these thru my computer, using the EQ/Volume control switch. Um after about a 1/2 hour of trying to get them to work properly I found ...
  • Cons: The Right Side Volume control seems very Cheap, compared to the rest of the Heaphones. They Get heavy and Hot after a couple of hours of Use. But for around the 1 C Note Cost on sale, its Still a buy in my book just for the sound quality by itself

Headphones with quality sound

T. A. Bond, Amazon
27 October 2014
  • Summary: The sound quality is brilliant. Piano tone in particular is realistic, and orchestral music is much clearer than with the Koss headphones I have been using, and I thought they were very good. These are quality phones in sound and materials used.

T. C. Clark, Amazon
24 January 2014
  • Summary: These are very well made headphones lots of leather and metal and feel very substantial, they come with a handy equaliser and a heavy chord,I first used them through my laptop and the sound was very poor and mushy. As these are 200 ohms headphones I wondered if the needed more power to drive them so I...
