  • Summary: Just wanted to make some comments on the CAD MH310 - a rebranded Superlux HD662F. I will be referring to them as HD662F for the remainder of whatever this is im writing to avoid confusion . I bought a pair Superlux HD681 at the same time and will just compare the two, along with a few others.
  • Pros: Good sound quality, decent soundstage, separation, layering, easy to drive
  • Cons: Clamping force (easily remedied), treble not for everyone

  • Summary: When I listen to these headphones, I can't believe how much I paid for them. I honestly believe their true value to be twice what it is. Having said that, these cans aren't spectacular.
  • Pros: Clearity, wide soundstage (despite being closed)
  • Cons: Mids are a little recesed, and these are full sized cans(ie not for portable use)

  • Summary: Construction and comfort Clamping force is rather tight, but not uncomfortably so. It's possible to adjust the force simply by carefully bending the two metal bands keeping other parts together.
  • Pros: General sound quality, flat frequency response, open soundstage, price
  • Cons: Headband design, sweat-inducing pads

  • Summary: I was reading a lot of stellar reviews on CAD products online -- not necessarily that they are top-notch performers but that they are an excellent value. Owning one of their microphones, I was intrigued when I ventured onto their site and saw that CAD has some headphone offerings as well.
  • Pros: Good price/performance; cheap; clear and overall well-balanced
  • Cons: Looks atrocious; can be uncomfortable

  • Summary: Comfort:- Been said before - strong clamping force. The pads are large but I wish there was a little more room inside for my largish ears. Out of the box not real comfortable but wearable.
  • Pros: Balanced sound on the cheap
  • Cons: Resonance in metal parts - Comfort (gets better with time)

  • Summary: R.I.P. Superlux 662. 'My gateway can'
  • Pros: Beyerdynamic Signature with Phat Bass, price, weight, great for EDM
  • Cons: Clamp on the head after a while in out-of-the-box tension level, need velours and tissue stuffing to make them super comfy 100%
