Summary: Definitely a great buy. The wire is a bit short by itself. Thought after about 2 months of use, the sound started to cut out in the right ear. I've heard of this happening to others as well. Still a good product.
Summary: I have two spirited children who do not pay attention to their surroundings which leads to the destruction on average 2.5 pairs of headphones a year. The pros for these headphones: 1) Flexible retractable microphone; 2) blocks out room noise; 3) very comfortable; 4) clothe covering for wire; 5)...
Summary: The steelseries spectrum 5xB headset are great, durable headphones for beginners or even the most hardcore gamers! The sound quality is superb, so good you can use it to listen to music on your ipod or other devices, which everyone knows how important that is.
Summary: This headset is great. The comfort is amazing, sound is good, and the wires are not that bad. The only problem I've came across is, that I have to leave the puck in my controller at ALL times. Not like the Turtle Beach x11.
Summary: I really like these headphones. I'm pretty new to the platform headphone game, but I also have a pair of Ear Force X12 Gaming Headset and Amplified Stereo Sound , and there are some definite advantages to this set.
Summary: I love these 5xB headphones with one exception, when turned up even slightly people around me can hear almost clearly what I'm listening to, that is the entire point to wear them, to not disturb everyone else. They are extremely comfortable and perfect for gaming.
Summary: The only bad thing I can say about these is the audible hum that is present when the live mixer is plugged in to the USB port. This is not a headset issue, when they are plugged into my PC (bypassing the live mixer) there is no hum at all.
Pros: The headset is very comfortable and lightweight. It can be worn for hours with no discomfort at all. The sound quality is really good and there is a decent amount of bass (not to much or to little).
Cons: The live mixer is USB powered which creates some audible hum.
