One month headset.
Martin Vargas, Amazon
3 August 2014
Summary: I bought this headset to replace my old ones that lasted for 3 years, this one lasted 4 months with problems starting at the second month. The audio quality started to go down as well as how other people here me. Slowly my mic started picking up less noise and the other players hearses me softly even when I yelled. I headset would loss sound in one ear then it would return only so the other one would give out. Then my mic gave out completely.
Summary: CUSTOMER SERVCIE DOES NOT EXIST. ON THEIR WEBSITE NO CONTACT NUMBER, ADDRESS OR EVEN AN EMAIL ADDRESS. PURCHASED THESE FOR MY SON AND ARE DEFECTIVE ONLY AFTER 3-4 MONTHS. PURCHASED ON AMAZON AND STILL HAVE RECEIPT. NO WARRANTY LISTED ON ANY OF THEIR LITERATURE OR ON THE BOX !. VERY SHADY COMPANY INDEED. TRIED TO USE THEIR RMA METHOD ON THE WEBSITE AND WILL NOT ACCEPT THE SERIAL NUMBER. THIS COMPANY SIMPLY DOES NOT CARE AFTER THE SALE. WILL BE REPORTING THEM TO THE BBB.
Summary: I recieved this product in poor condition. I could hear the other players, but they could not hear me. I found out later that the green wire was broken. NOT worth the money! Basically, I bought a broken item...
Summary: I had these headsets for 4 days. I was in game and all the sudden my chat just died. I couldnt here anyone. Overall the sound was amazing but its not worth spending the money and having it break on you.
Summary: The headset I received broke after two weeks. My previous headset the Turtle Beach x1's lasted me two years. I'm also pretty gentle with my elctronics. They make a loud humming noise when plugged in. They are comfortable and lightweight, which is very nice. The sound quality was worse than my old Turtle Beach x1's. Overall not a good headset. I would reccommend Turtle Beach x12's. I just bought them after I sent this headset back and I am very happy with my purchase.
Summary: They lasted 2 1/2 months. While their functioning their amazing but you need to be really careful. When my first pair broke i sent it to steel series for a replacement. The replacement was horrible. You could put them on the floor and hear every thing.I would be playing in the living room at night and my brother would come out of his room at nigh telling me to turn them off.
Summary: I bought this headset for the main reason of it having the "durable" nylon braided cord. I had gotten tired of the Microsoft headsets always shorting out. Well three months later the right ear cup is shorting out on my 5xb's. I'm never rough on my things and always baby my electronics so fingers point to cheap components. If I move the wire around a little it will come back on, but as soon as it's moved again it shorts out.
Summary: I purchased these headphones along with the turtle beach x11 and steelseries 4xb. These are easily the best sounding of the bunch with an excellent stereo soundstage, clean clear smooth sound and also sound very good with music and movies (the other 2 headsets underwhelmed me in this category). I much prefer the location of the game and chat volume compared to the x11.
Summary: i had heard much about the 5xb and that they were quality gaming headsets and thus it is with disappointment I write this review. starting from the beginning: Packaging: neatly packaged and easy to take everything out. Build quality: Very stylish and well made. Light plastic although felt sturdy and the double braided wire is very durable. Material cups that I don't usually like were firm and felt good. Microphone stored within L earpiece and easy to pull down.
