Pros: I have owned these headphones for 3 plus years and they have been good to me. I liked how they're pretty light weight and that the upper band is nice and flexible. The ear cups as well are a good fit and quite comfortable. The extendable / retractable microphone is handy to have and I find picks up sound really good.
Cons: Recently the sound in my right earphone had cut out for good, but for the time I've had them I expect it to happen. The sound quality I find is good in the higher frequency ranges but there's not so much boom or bass to them. Finally, the volume of the headphones themselves I always found way too low, and even at maximum settings it's still not enough.
Summary: If you wear glasses or have any piercings that might get in the way of these, beware. I also have a slightly narrower than average head and these things are tight. I actually gave these to my wife and she uses/likes them.
Pros: Cheap when I bought it. Better than average sound. Good for gaming. Retractable mic is handy, also the mic quality is fair. Seems fairly durable, I've only had it ~1 month.
Cons: Extremely tight. Ears get very sweaty because it's a pleather material. Cannot wear for more than an hour or two at a time. I have to take 2 eggs for this, what might be considered a gaming headset, I cannot wear it for more than 2 hours, which is a problem.
Summary: Great feel on my head, also doesn't mess up my hair like the previous headsets I've had, which I like because I use the headset to listen to lectures online when I study at the library at my college.
Pros: The sound quality of this headset for Music is great. I do not game so I do not know how well the surround sound function works. The Mic picks up my voice well.
Cons: The headset came with a small defect. The elastic band on top had a problem internally. Fortunately I am handy, though and was able to pull it apart pretty easily with a very small philips screwdriver and fix it with a bit of epoxy and about 20 minutes of my time.
Summary: I was so excited to get this Dota 2 Edition headphones, but it just isn't 5 stars worth product. I've been using this product for 6 months and now I can feel the clamminess of this headphones on my head. Sometimes, it would be so painful that I need to take it off entirely. However, for some reason the first few months I got it I couldn't remember feeling any discomfort.
Summary: If you want a fairly decent headset with a relatively low price, these are a probably a good purchase. However, the random nature of the left speaker going out is common with this headset should leave a buyer wary. Even if the speaker does not go out, this headset seems to only last a year at best, so make this choice a temporary one.
Pros: The sound quality is good, but not anywhere near audiophile level (not that that's important for a gaming headset anyway). These headphones were extremely comfortable for me for over a year. Easy to use, fairly durable, and come with a lengthy cord. Comes with a well placed volume control and mic mute switch.
Cons: After about a year, the cushions on these headphones deflate and, if you've got average to large sized ears, you'll feel the headset actually touch your ears. Additionally, if you wear glasses, the headset will become uncomfortable to wear around the same year time-span. After approximately 18 months, the left speaker (with the microphone) goes out. The mic mute switch is smooth, so if you're sweating in the middle of the summer, it will be difficult to switch back an...
Summary: This is a well built headset on the high end of the mid price range. Good headsets are hard to find, especially in the mid to lower price ranges. This is worth buying if a $200 headset is not in the budget.
Pros: Comfortable; Long cord so I can plug the USB into the back of my tower and bring the cord through the back of my desk so I'm, hopefully, not tripping over it. Reasonably good sound. Works with Ventrilo and Teamspeak., the drivers appear to be solid. It seems solidly built. I especially appreciate that the wires holding the floating headband in place are twisted stainless steal.
Cons: The 7.1 surround sound is virtual, in other words it's just a processed effect. Sound quality, both for the headphones and the mic, is on the low end of fairly unspectacular.
Summary: the first set lasted more than a year with me beating the hell out of it every step of the way. They finally broke so I bought another pair... the quality on THIS set was.... less than the first. in fact they have started to malfunction after only 3 moths of setting at a desk. I would NOT recommend getting a new set of these the quality is not there anymore.
