Pros: Good sound quality, ear cups are comfortable (see cons), works for tablet, phone, and computer.
Cons: When I got these, I opened the box expecting something similar to new. Instead, the box was filled with dirt and dust. When I picked up the headphones, a glob of cheese or ear wax plugged some of the holes in the speaker. The ear cups were sagging, wrinkly, and dirty. Clearly used and pretty gross. Now on to the sound quality and my biggest problem: sounds great - when it works. Nice highs and lows and very crisp and good quality sound. However, the audio jacks are du...
Summary: I've been a user of the Siberias for a very long time. Back when Icemat was its own company. These headphones have always had problems and steelseries has yet to address them. I most likely won't be using any of the new siberia products til steelseries starts fixing some of the build problems. oh well atleast I'm finally out of this abusive relationship!
Pros: + Looks amazing + Sounds great when working properly
Cons: - They're extremely fragile. I'd consider myself pretty gentle when it comes to my headsets and I've had two pairs of these break on me after a very short time. Both times they broke was because of the metal wires holding the head - The mic isn't the greatest quality. Becareful when pulling it out of the headset. - The sound sometimes cuts out on one side of the headphones when adjusting the sound via the control.
Summary: This headset is way overpriced for its quality. Though the sound is amazing the item itself is less then acceptable. After now a year of usage its beginning to fall apart and the sound will cut in and out. After this experience i do not think ill be purchasing another Steel-Series product anytime soon.
Pros: This headset has amazing sound quality and it is very lightweight when wearing
Cons: Very cheap materials used. Just recently the suspension cables on the headset broke and the plastic is starting to wear. The ear muffs themselves have held up but they do cause some ear pain after prolonged use, at first i though this was just me getting use to it but after a year of heavy usage the pain still appears enough to where i must switch to speakers and rest my ears.
Summary: Hopefully the wiring problem on the mic side earphone for the Siberias will get fixed, overall they're amazing headphones for a great price however the faulty wiring is more than enough to convince me to not buy again
Pros: This is the second pair i've bought the first pair worked great for two years and broke because of a personal accident, amazing quality mic everything
Cons: On this second pair the left earphone decided to just stop working, it was working one second and then i exited a program and it wasn't anymore, I'm pretty disappointed and unfortunately won't be taking my money to steelseries again I was a huge fan of their products but after a little research this is a COMMON problem that the mic side earphone craps out
Summary: I own steelseries v1, and 2 of v2, use them for over 5 years. Neverbuy audio device from steelseries again. Now i only use my cheap 5$ earbud, which is verygood for the price Tip: set volume control of headset to max and use software (in windows) to change the volume only.
Pros: Acceptable for the price Good sound Good bass
Cons: Pad is DEMN HOT Pad will break after about 12 month Wire too thin Volume control will BREAK after few month use Sound of the left or right break or silence for no reason, have to send for repair (happen to 3 of mine)
Summary: At first they were great...good fit....good sound....then it started to happen. I'm glad I bothered to get a ROCCAT KAVE 5.1 set instead. they were comfy though. Reminded me of the headsets I wore when I was in the army.
Pros: The color......that's about it.
Cons: The sound wasn't very good after six months. In fact is went out completely. I know I am not a verified owner but trust me I had this headset and they didn't last very long. I used them for just about everything from my computer to my iPad. I'm an extreme tester I guess. My girls used them too. NOT KID FRIENDLY
Summary: I bought this from recommendation from a friend who played CS competitively. He swore by them and had them for awhile. His still works and loves them and fits his head, but doesn't fit my head very well. I bought 2 pairs ago over a year ago and, it's ok. One broke, so I'm in the process of finding a new headset, or a mic and a headphone. Don't think I'll buy anymore steelseries products with the exception of their mousepad.
Pros: I bought 2 pairs, one still works, the other... doesn't Pros though You won't lose the mic as it's built in and you can tuck it away. The headset sounds pretty decent with a good soundcard and you have the EQ setup just right. It's plug and play and works well for the PC platform, generally comfortable for medium head shaped people
Cons: Well, out of warranty, I can't get any replacement or have a question answered as... I don't have the box and the number on the headset isn't the serial number. The design of the cables is weak. It's thin, and well, mine somehow got damaged and I can't replace it as it's the cable that directly is connected with the headset (not the extension part) Other companies actually make it so you can replace this part but not everyone does. My gf doesn't have a big head as I d...
Summary: These headphones were a gift and I only use them to be nice, but also because I'm broke and can't afford to buy a standalone mic and the Kraken Forged that I want. Anyway, if I could, I'd use something else. The build of these headphones is cheap and pretty bad. The plastic creaks when worn and it gets old very quickly. The headband will fit however it wants to, so if you don't have the perfect head, good luck.
Pros: -Lightweight -Comes in a lot of color options -Decent microphone -Unlike the KrakenPro from Razer, does not need extension cable to use mic
Cons: -Cheap plastic construction -Mic is quiet until you adjust settings in Windows -GLOSSY PLASTIC IS UGLY WHY CAN'T COMPANIES REALIZE THIS ALREADY IT'S THE 21ST CENTURY -Headband cannot be manually adjusted, SteelSeries gets to decide how the headset fits, not the consumer. -Very little clamping force, sound leaks and bass is really week. -Circular ear cups, might bother some people -Pretty weird looking, not the best for public use unless you don't care about aesthetic
