Defect: Static / Feedback with many or all of the headsets
24 September 2014
Summary: There appears to be a serious defect that is mentioned in many reviews, but not enough stars are deducted to find it concerning. Currently I own the SteelSeries Siberia V2 headset (red version), which are the same head phones. However the main difference is that these cross-platform headphones come with a device that allows you to connect to more than just you PC.
Summary: Had these headphones for about a year. They work great. The sound card that came with them not so great, so I just simply did not bother to use it or send them in. When using the sound card I had a lot of mic problems, people constantly told me I was cutting in and out. Big problem with them I read about them online is the right speaker tends to go out due to bad wiring. And it happened to me. I bought them last year.
Summary: And that, sadly is my only complaint. I was perfectly content with the fit, weight, sound quality and look. I really quite liked them until I had to give and interview over skype adn found the mic to be shot. Pretty significant downside for a so-called gaming headset.
Frost Blue version is much worse than its predecessors

Summary: I've used Steelseries Siberia v2s for the past 3 years, and I have greatly enjoyed nearly every aspect of the headsets. The mic quality of the Siberia series is generally quite amazing. The fit of the headphones on your head and the audio in gaming has been perfect for my usage as a competitive FPS gamer and caster.
Summary: The SteelSeries Siberia V2 headset is a great headset...until it breaks for no real reason. While some may attribute its breaking to user-error or just plain old bad luck, I am willing to say it is neither of those. Pros - 7.1 Surround Sound was pretty good. - Overall sound was great for games, movies, video editing, etc. - Very comfortable around the ears and over the head.
Either these or fake, or they're truly just poorly built.

Summary: Okay, to start? The sound quality IS incredible. However, there are SO many things about it that just bother me... First: The cord length of the headset, overall. I get that they clearly state "for Playstation 3" but... Does that really justify the 1.5' cord? Seriously? I was thinking about using these as a computer headset, that isn't happening. Now, it does come with the audio mixer (we'll get to that here in a bit) and that extends the thing by about 10x.
