Pros: While this was working it was a pretty nice headset for the price range, the mic was pretty good quality and the headset itself had good mids, ok lows, and subpar highs which is what you expect in a gaming headset.
Cons: Everything that is SteelSeries. After about a month of pretty moderate use, maybe two hours a day at best, the microphone shorted out. It stands to reason that a flimsy retractable mic would short eventually but I was sure to be VERY careful and sparing with the mic figuring that could be an issue. After a few weeks of having a non-mic'ed headset I decided I should just RMA it. I started my RMA process in December, three months ago. Guess what, I still don't have a he...
Summary: Cool design, bad mic quality, really cheap/easily tangled cord.
Pros: + Looks good + Very comfortable + Good, soft audio quality for the price.
Cons: I was really excited to use this product since I have been happy with Steelseries mice in the past. To start, the cord on this headset is awful. After the third day of use, it began to tangle horribly even after proper storage and care. It got the point where even the male jacks for the mic and headset were curling up on each other. It got so bad that it affected the audio and I heard sharp static noises. I had to constantly lean back and unwind the cord every couple ...
Pros: Decent and comfortable headset but do not buy the refurbished one.
Cons: When I got it, the once comfortable ear cups were squashed and not puffy and were saggy and wrinkly. The headset was dusty and the internals were covered in dirt and earwax. Worst of all, you cannot return it for a refund. Splurge and buy the real thing or just buy another headset.
Cons: Awful Mic Quality, despite looking at many YouTube videos before purchasing the Mic the quality just does not add up, and I don't mean by a little, I mean the mic has killer static, it's very low sounding, just terraible quality in general. Very disipointed. My old $10 mic is 10x better.
Cons: I bought these after reading so many glowing reviews. I was fed up with the quality in turtle beach headsets and wanted to try something new. I was excited with these at first. They sounded good and fit nicely on my head. They seemed somewhat flimsy which worried me. After a month or two of regular use the left headset completely lost audio. From what I understand this is a regular issue and is a failure on the manufacturer's part. These are a complete waste of money ...
Summary: Buyers beware for when you purchase these refurbished!!!!!! First of all, I love Steelseries Siberia V2 headphones, I own a white pair that I bought brand new. When I ordered the refurbished pair, offered by Newegg, I was expecting something close to new condition, what I got was heavily used, dirty and unsanitary headphones, that were just thrown in a brown box. I didn't even bother checking if they worked, simply not wanting to make a face contact for sanitary reasons.
Pros: These are 2.0 Junk. I''m not sure who in the gaming world thinks gaming and 2.0 are a equal descripting, but these are useless. If surround means nothing to you, and mp3's are all you're worried about then these are ok. From a former 5.1 owner and user, these are completely useless are far as gaming goes. I want to stomp thes into a 6ft grave, but new egg returns aren't free. Don't skimp. If you game and want a real USEFULL experience, get 5.1 minumum headphones
