Summary: This isn't some sort of heavy usage, throw the headset at the wall in frustration, broke it because I'm an awful owner sort of deal, either. Using them occasionally on my PC, the microphone on this product broke within 5 months. Either I got a shoddy product and was just unlucky, or they're poorly made. I've used plenty of SS products before, and this is a first.
Summary: I spent the $80 on these hoping that they would last a while. They were decently useful headphones/mic for online gaming for the time that I owned them, although the sound and mic quality are middling. However, just today the mic stopped working. They didn't last any longer than the <$20 headsets I've used for gaming previously, and they don't really sound any better.
Summary: No idea why so many people like these headphones, I would guess because most have not worn a quality pair of headphones. They have a very high bass outpout but the mid's and highs are severely lacking. The ear cushions are like a fake vinyl/plastic and are not comfortable at all.
Summary: I found this headset by doing a search on "USB Headset" on Amazon; it is not a USB headset. Please note that this review has nothing to do with the quality of the product: It's merely a warning so that folks do not make the same mistake that I did.
Summary: I purchased my Siberia v2 white 6 months ago. I have been enjoying the sound quality of the headset when I'm gaming and watching movies. I have been recommending this headset to my friends due to my satisfaction on the performance and its mic. But after 6 months of using the headset, the right ear suddenly stops working while I was gaming. For 80$ only to work for 6 months? I'm giving this a 1 star review.
Summary: So after about 6-7 months of using the headset it stopped working properly. The right side speaker just stopped working, I started looking around on the internet to see if this was a common problem and looks like it is, I found several people who had the exact same problems as me. I contacted steelseries support to see if there is anything that can be done, they want me to send the headset back (to Europe) for them to replace it.
Summary: These look cool, that's about it. You need a sound card with these for the mic and sound to be decent, other wise garbage, even my G930's beat these and those suck also. Review: 1. Mic cuts out, and very static 2. feel very cheap 3. sounds was terrible even with sound card! 4. Not comfortable, your ears touch the plastic inside worse than G930. 5. sound very plasticy, probably because your ear is touching plastic, and the sound is behind the plastic.
Summary: I have really loved this headset. I use it at work, and as such I use them for hours at a time. They are super comfortable. They have great sound. That is until yesterday. The headband is attached to the earphones by two loops of wire. One of the loops broke and the headband is now useless. I was able to remove the headband portion, but the headphones don't stay on my head. Hoping to get sent a replacement loop, I contact SteelSeries support.
