Summary: My Glasses are broken and I'm mostly blind. I broke my old headset because of my lack of vision. I ordered these so I could at least listen to music while I wait. All the other pairs have 3.5 audio jacks. This is the only one that does not. I cant even drive to the local computer store to see if they have that mythical adapter. It would have been nice if newegg put the type of connector in the main description.
Pros: Its a SteelSeries Siberia v2 Full-Size Headset and its Heat Orange.
Cons: Its USB and will not work with my system unless I find some mythical adapter that's as rare as a unicorn.
Summary: These headphones came recommended to me and I was extremely excited to purchase them. They seem well made and are very comfortable but, as soon as I tried them on I noticed they weren't working properly. The mic volume and headphone volume were at about 50% from their normal levels. There were driver issues, no windows sound issues...they were purely the headphones. I have a crumby pair of $10 Logitechs that were getting much better sound quality than these.
Summary: The quality of sound and the comfort of the headset are outstanding. Unfortunately, the USB connector is poorly made and started going out a few months ago. It has slowly progressed and now after six months it is completely unusable.
Excerpt: First of all I would like to thank SteelSeries for sending me their headset for review. I reviewed the headset when they initially got launched at their higher price tag of around £100. Since then they have dropped to around £80, making them very attractive. It can be found on AmazonUK.
Summary: The mic starting giving out static within 3 months. I had to move the wire a certain way to not get static and even then it would give static if i touch the wire. Started an RMA. Takes the support like a week or two to answer your reply. After a month of waiting, I finally received a product back in the mail. It was a different color, Heat Orange, and not Frost Blue.
Summary: This isn't some sort of heavy usage, throw the headset at the wall in frustration, broke it because I'm an awful owner sort of deal, either. Using them occasionally on my PC, the microphone on this product broke within 5 months. Either I got a shoddy product and was just unlucky, or they're poorly made. I've used plenty of SS products before, and this is a first.
