Broken Product a disapointment
26 December 2009
Summary: I was extremely excited to get this headset, and had been since I first saw it. I've always wanted to get one of the "pro", headsets after seeing them at a LAN and thinking how nice they were, and comfortable. Well, they're good lookin', but that's about it.
Cons: The headphones are very uncomfortable, maybe for a smaller person they could be but the ones in the past have been very spacey. They feel like they're pulling on my ears and the plastic is hard and not comfortable. The only other con is that I wish I would have read that the mic was clip-on but I...
Summary: Get the version with the retractable microphone, that's what I thought I was getting and what I will be getting after going through the lengthy process of getting (some) of my money back.
Pros: Sound quality is good for a headset.
Cons: Sorry, but the clip on mic is absolutely horrible for any sort of real gaming, I don't know how they sleep at night advertising this as a gaming headset. You have to practically yell for people to hear you unless you're holding it up to your mouth. The wire management is equally abysmal. I'm in t...
Summary: I might return this and get a different one or replace it cause maybe I just got a bad one. I used the planetronics DSP headset USB for 2 years and it was great, a wire popped out so I bought this one.
Pros: its a nice looking headset, the sound quality is pretty decent for the most part.
Cons: i was pretty dissapointed with the USB setup. The USB card is a tiny little attachment, and it's really cheap. When I have the USB soundcard attached it the headphones crackle and the sound isnt evenly distributed from left to right. That hardly seems worth it for something you pay $80 for with s...
Pros: The headset works decently. When I am gaming I can hear from all directions.
Cons: The mic... The mic that i received was terrible. When talking into the mic, there is this constant buzzing, that is louder than what my mic pics up. It is very annoying, and if i want to get a new one, i would have to pay for shipping again. 30 dollars for shipping in total, from it originally co...
Summary: i <3 these headphones. i never take them off. hehe :D
Pros: These headphones are simply amazing. What can i say? It's good for music, movies, and gaming. O1.It covers my ears completely so i don't hear anything outside of it. O2. It comes with an extra extension line with it's own volume controller, which is sweeet. O3. Very light weighted and quite comfo...
Cons: ehh..the mic has some issues but you can easily fix it with your mic settings.
Summary: I wish they had not been bought by SteelSerise, I tried to contact them when they were iceMat and they refused a RMA because I had bought the item through NewEgg, and then on top of this, i tried to contact SteelSerise and was totally ignored all 3 times.
Pros: Clean Sound Good cord length When I purchased it, the company was IceMat and it came with a nice USB Sound card.
Cons: Cheap Plastic Contruction Easily breaks if you have a large head. Broke within the 1st 2 Months, and I cannot contact the support guys.
Summary: Should be taken off the market for inferior design and workmanship. Oh well, whata ya expect from China.
Pros: Sounds great, very comfortable. Love the separate microphone.
Cons: First set, wire on left ear broke first time I put them on. Went thru the return nonsense, Newegg wouldn't take 'em back, had to get RMA from Steelseries Icemat. Replaced after maybe 3 weeks. Second set much better, probably put them on 6 times before they broke exact same place as the last set. ...
