Summary: It just dawned on me that i had these for so long since the cushions are kinda flat now (super comfy when it was new) hence the seven year late review
Pros: I have owned and used these almost every day for seven frikin years. Sound quality is good sound card took a few beatings but still works fine mic picks up sound well enough though it needs mic boost to be on.
Cons: doesn't block out much sound but i prefer it that way so not really a negative for me steelseries doesn't sell replacement ear cushions but third party companies do.
Summary: Was looking for a nice headset for around a year, went thru the 20-25 walmart specials. Seen Steel Series reviews and jumped a little at the price but I have been won over. Grabbed this set for $40.00 on new egg in recertified items.
Pros: Inline volume is always nice, the mic can be a hassel. I like the fact I can use it as a remote mic in Webcast so 2 for 1 there. Has a short cord option so you can hook it to the MP3 player of your choice and not carry 10 feet of cord. Over all happy owner 11 months Jumped on a recertified pair a...
Cons: Uh read above no complaints looking at the next level of Steel Series.
Summary: Well well, these are still being sold. I have owned 2 pairs of these headphones over the years. The 2nd was a replacement under warranty. Now I find myself with my 2nd pair being pretty well ruined. I have no idea what to replace it with.
Summary: I've worn the Steelseries Siberia V2 and it is by far better than this. I would rate this at about a 6.5 or 7 out of 10
Pros: -The detachable mic is convenient if you like to use speakers from time to time -Cord length -Feels light -Not easy to break - Really Clear sound - The mic picks up sound relatively easy
Cons: -The padding is not on the ear it is around it, so the hard plastics presses against your ears -Your ears can start to hurt after prolonged use -The long cord can be annoying at times -Sounds lacks bass
Pros: This is the best headset I've ever owned. It's extremely comfortable and sound quality is fantastic. The microphone is also good.
Cons: The build quality of the headset scared me at first, but I think it is good now. The microphone is not a standard drop-down mic, but rather a clip-on or, in my case, tape-to-the-keyboard mic. Keep that in mind. Also, if you're listening to something loud, the people around you WILL be able to hea...
Pros: Well it still works perfectly after at least a year and a half of constant usage. I can even turn my system volume max with the headset itself at max, and no crackling with sick bass. It is surprisingly comfortable to me, which is odd because most headsets make my ears sore after awhile. If your ...
Cons: My only problem is the clip on microphone, it tangles up with the volume panel, but i'm weird so whatever.
