Summary: Ever since my loved Turtle Beach XP500's broke I have been headset shopping for something equal or better. I know theres been upgrades to the XP500's with the XP510's, but there was 1 main reason I stuck with the 500's.
Broke in 3 months, 2 months (still waiting) for RMA

Summary: Below is a concise version of my RMA experience with Steelseries trying to attain a replacement headset: (RMA ticket handled by "Russ B." 5/5/15: RMA ticket made 5/7/15: initial response, told to input address and select it for RMA to move forward.
Pros: Replaceable AND rechargeable batteries, 2 included with headset. Good sound quality. Very nice base station hardware/software these pros are the only thing stopping me from a 1 egg review.
Cons: WAY TOO MUCH PLASTIC FOR A $300 HEADSET. SteelSeries is known for decent quality in all their wired headsets so why does this thing have cheap *expletive deleted* plastic headband and plastic on plastic balljoint interface that allows for the angle adjustment on the earpieces; I know this because...
Summary: Don't waste your time buying this headset based on other reviews or from the popular Linus tip video. I'm fairly certain he was paid to make these headphones appear godly, it certainly gained my interests. So I bought both these headphones and the universal Astro A50s.
Pros: It's wireless?
Cons: Poor quality sound compared to other $300 wireless headsets. Has WEAK bass even when tweaking equalizer to max. Feels like cheap plastic and cheap pleather earphones. It's bound to break and the headphones are going to disintegrate in time without a doubt.
Summary: Something to think about is that in my experience, each battery seems to last somewhere in the realm of 8 hours. You get 2 batteries and the idea of this headset is that you'll swap one out as soon as it's getting low or dead.
Pros: Pros: Sturdy build quality Very comfortable during long periods of use Sound quality is outstanding and easily rivals that of wired headsets Unique hot-swappable battery tech Mic quality seems fine. I do live stream, and online game a lot and I haven't heard any complaints.
Cons: The advertised wireless range is 40ft. Well, I haven't taken this into an open field to find out if this is true, but your house most likely has doors and hallways and things that might obscure line of sight. The more realistic wireless range is like 20 ft. I can't make it to the kitchen which is...
Summary: I was a bit nervous dropping $300 on a headset that has a ton of bad reviews regarding the customer support but they really do sound great. I'm praying I don't have to experience any of the customer support nightmares like some other users but so far so good.
Pros: Good sound quality, nice fit and finish, battery life is as stated 20+ hours, easy to set up. Haven't had them long but so far the games I've played through them sound amazing to the point where I find myself turning my head to see if the sounds I heard were actually behind me.
Cons: The plastic that the ear cups attach to was somewhat on the cheap side which was surprising. Also, It's fine for me but I could see how some people would want them to get a bit louder. I keep them at full volume most of the time and I have no problem hearing the most subtle nuances but I'm sure f...
Summary: Make absolutely sure your computer is set up to provide the best sound quality you're not receiving the full potential of this amazing product.
Pros: Everything I ever wanted from a headset. No set backs, no compromises. Dual batteries ensure endless, uninterrupted use. People who complain about a "no wire charging connection" are absolutely ignorant of the purpose of this WIRELESS headset. It offers amazing immersion and sound quality, comfor...
Cons: I cant sleep with it on. I like to sleep on my side and the big poofy sound proof cushion gets in the way. (not even a con) You cant hear anything with this headset on, so be careful about walk ins. My girlfriend and family have caught me several times during my distasteful remarks while gaming. ...
Summary: My review is based on having something to compare this headset against. I also own the Skullcandy Plyr 1 7.1 high end wireless headset for which i reviewed on newegg as well. I believe I gave the Skullcandy 2 eggs because of the cheap plastic construction and durability.
Pros: - Wireless range and clarity very good. - Mic sensitivity very good and clarity of recording very good. - Setup easy. - Base station options seem very rich although haven't experimented much with the features so I can't attest to whether they are practical or gimmicky. ie the "livechat" or "chatm...
Cons: - Comfort. Specifically the compression/tension of the headset. I am far from being fat or on the large size head scale, and these things are tight. The pleather is also a minor annoyance and not my personal favorite. Hopefully this gets better over time... FYI, It should be noted I wear glasses ...
