SteelSeries Flux Luxury Edition Gaming Headphones Review

19 September 2012
  • Excerpt: Rarely do we find a pair of cans that can do everything that we want it to, and do it well. Audiophiles flood the forums arguing which pair of headphones are the best and probably grimace at the simple mention of a pair of crap quality headphones. We here at Gadgetmac value sound just as much as the other guy, and SteelSeries ' Flux Luxury Edition on-ear headphones really blew us away with their audio versatility.

Expert Review

PC Advisor
21 September 2013
  • Excerpt: Danish peripheral manufacturer, SteelSeries, has several lines of gaming-focused headphones , and the Flux line is at the upper end of the scale. The regular Flux headset comes with different colour options, but if you want a more premium look you can go for the Luxury Edition that we’re reviewing here. An already solid headset gets a premium version

Good Gear Guide.au
2 November 2012
  • Summary: If you're looking for a solid headset for gaming, the Luxury Edition of the SteelSeries Flux is a good investment. It could use some refinement though, especially when it comes to padding under the headband.
  • Pros: Stylish yet comfortable design, Great audio reproduction during gameplay and movies/music
  • Cons: No dedicated soft protection under the headband, Carry pouch doesn't provide protection

SteelSeries Flux Headset

Console Monster
15 September 2012
  • Summary: The SteelSeries Flux headset is advertised as being their most customisable and versatile headset they have ever developed. Everyone has their own perceptions on how customisable a headset should be, however SteelSeries sees this as style over form or function. Luckily, attention to the audio performance has not been forgotten about here, which makes these set of cans not only stylish but also a pleasure for your ears too.
  • Pros: Stows away easily for an overhead headset, Good quality audio for its size, Choice of left or right cable connection and cable types
  • Cons: Feels tight on the ears at first, will be looser over time, Fabric ear cushions, though solid, does let down overall quality, Rubber headband can add pressure with long use

Steelseries Flux

12 January 2013

Test: SteelSeries Flux Gaming Headset

11 October 2012
  • Summary: Das Flux Gaming Headset von SteelSeries zielt klar auf Besitzer mobiler Endgeräte ab.
